We already know that developer CD Projekt Red is pretty great at collaborating with special edition hardware – hell, just take a look at the amazing Xbox One XÂCyberpunk 2077Editionthat sold out instantly. But what if the design team took a swing at some classic hardware? Now we have a good idea of what that would look like, thanks to a fan-made version of an OG Nintendo Game Boy.Cyberpunk 2077Âis without a doubt the most anticipated release of 2020. I know it. You know it.Other developers know it. And as fans get hyped for the imminent release, they are getting creative with their fan projects. With this in mind, Polish gamer Tomek Dittrich did an expertly made mockup of what an OG Nintendo Game Boy would look like if CD Projekt Red took a swing at it.
Seen in the tweet below, it’s worth noting that this is a digital project made in Blender – unfortunately not a real thing. The console, cheekily titled Nightcity Cyber Boy, sports the signature yellow and blue aesthetic, a tastefully-worn paint job, and a “No Future message on the back.”
On top of that, we get a glimpse of what aÂCyberpunk 2077ÂGame Boy port might look like – well, at least the iconic scene with Keanu Reeves. But for a fan project, it’s a next-level mockup. Check out the tweet below:
In otherÂCyberpunk 2077news, it was revealed earlier this month that the gamewill not be releasing on Xbox Game Pass– unlike other games shown this week at the Xbox Games Showcase. Early adopters of the game will be able toscore some swag from the company, so make sure to pre-order if you haven’t already.
Cyberpunk 2077Âis launching on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 08, 2025; the game will eventually come to Google Stadia, PS5, and Xbox Series X after launch.
