Since its release in 2021, the adult animated superhero television seriesInvincible, created by the genius vision of Robert Kirkman, has placed a tight grip on the audience. The show returned to Prime Video after a two-year hiatus for its second season, which was split into two parts with four episodes each.

Fans initially desired more episodes of the show, but a new announcement about the third installment has piqued their interest. Though the cherished animation series included multiple stories across both seasons, it isn’t the only animated program that has been gaining extreme popularity among the masses and is up for fierce competition from another cherished show.
On the other hand, Beau DeMayo’sX-Men ’97has been gaining accolades for its high-quality animation and modern pacing. This has further established a new benchmark for the streaming service Prime Video to improve the quality of the upcomingInvincibleseason 3.

Invincible3and its comparison withX-Men ’97
Despite the immense popularity thatInvincibleholds, it has never faced any competition in the animation genre. However, all of that changed in March 2024 with the release ofX-Men ’97on Disney+. One of the highest-rated series of the year, the show made great use of its extensive roster of characters and received positive reviews for each episode.
The large number of Marvel cameos gathered a large audience, making it a perfect rival forInvincible. However, this was not the only strength that the show held; its stunning animation was another aspect that captured the audience’s attention.Invincibles’animation is more in line with modern art thanX-Men ’97’s, which appeals to a wider audience because it is sharper and more polished.

The modern art aesthetic, though, doesn’t seem to fit in as well for the second season of theRobert Kirkman creation. For instance, when Mark knocks out a Martian in the ship sequence and the Martian falls from the ship, it just didn’t look right or well animated.

The episodes’ extremely artificial and poorly animated quality was a complaint that several viewers of the show also pointed out on X, with one user tweeting
Hopefully no more png looking scenes

X-Men ’97is gaining a huge margin when it comes to creating high-caliber animated series. While still due, only time will tell whetherInvincibleSeason 3 will survive this competition or not. However, the fans didn’t waste any time and responded with their own requests for the upcoming third season.
Fans express their thoughts on the upcoming third season ofInvincible
For the second season of the popular animated series, the public had high hopes. While the second part’s overall visual quality was lacking, the first part featured excellent animation and a novel take on the plot. Further, the entire plot was likewise fragmented and could only be covered in eight episodes due to the significantgap in time betweenthe two halves.
Wow..it’s not gonna take over a year this time then?

The fans went on to say that they hoped the creators would avoid breaking the season like they did in the last one because it was extremely difficult for them to follow the storyline. Additionally, they recommended that the streaming behemoth enhance the program’s overall quality prior to its release.
Wasn’t feeling S2 hope it’s better
Works for me as long as they don’t pull a sudden break on us like they did in season 2 because that killed the hype
Hopefully it isn’t split into two parts like season 2
I’m not gonna say it again. DON’T COME BACK TILL YOU GIVE THIS SHOW BETTER ANIMATION
The animation was the integral part that brought in the comparison betweenInvincibleandX-Men 97. There were a lot of problems with the second season, but the producers should be able to fix everything with the next one.
