Depulso is a spell inHogwarts Legacythat propels enemies away from the wizard or witch who cast it. It is an incredibly useful spell that can be used to get enemies away from you or push objects away to solve puzzles.

Just like many other spells in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to complete a Professor’s assignment before you can use Depulso. Here’s everything you need to know to pick up this essential spell.
Start Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1
In order to getthe Depulso spell, you will need tobegin Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1.To unlock this assignment, you will first need to complete the quest,Jackdaw’s Rest. you may then check your Quests page, and you’ll notice Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 on the list. You will have to obtainthree different potionsfor this quest:
Acquire & Use A Focus Potion
The first thing you will want to do for Professor Sharp isacquire and use a Focus Potion.There are two ways that you can get one, either bycrafting it yourself or buying it from J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade.
To craft your own potion, make sure you have theseingredientsfirst:
Ingredient
1x Lacewing Flies
Can be found in open fields in the wild, or purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions for 100 Galleon
1x Fluxweed Stem
Can be grown in a large pot in the Room of Requirement, or purchased at The Magic Neep for 150 Galleon
1x Dugbog Tongue
Can be obtained after defeating Dugbogs in the wild, or purchased at J. Pippin’s Potions for 100 Galleon
Then, eitherhead to the Room of Requirement if you have unlocked it, or go to the Potions Classroomto begin brewing it. If you’d rather just purchase it, it costs500 Galleon at J. Pippin’s Potions.

Acquire Maxima & Edurus Potion, & Use Them Simultaneously
Next up, you’ll need toget a Maxima and Edurus Potion and use them together at the same time.At this point, you will most likely not have access to brewing these two potions just yet, so you should pick them up at J. Pippin’s Potions.Both Maxima and Edurus Potions cost 300 Galleon each.
If you have already obtained the recipes to brew Maxima and Edurus Potions, here are theingredientsneeded.
Maxima Potion
1x Leech Juice
Can be found in the wild near water, or purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions for 150 Galleon
1x Spider Fang
Can be obtained after defeating Spiders in the wild, or purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions for 50 Galleon
Edurus Potion
1x Ashwinder Eggs
Can be found in dwellings or near burnt-out campfires, or purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions for 150 Galleon
1x Mongrel Fur
Can be obtained after defeating Mongrels in the wild, or purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions for 50 Galleon
Once you have the two potions, make sure totake them both one after the other.
Attend Potions Class During The Day & Return To Professor Sharp
When you’ve completed both tasks,return to yourPotions Class with Professor Sharpanytime during the day.Upon completion of the class,approach Professor Sharpat his desk to begin learning Depulso.
As you are being taught the spell, follow the prompts on-screen by clicking the correct button while following the labeled path. You’ll now be able to use Depulso, which you canpractice on the flying books in front of you.This will propel them far away from you.
