If you don’t like playing as Claire Redfield inResident Evil 2, but perhaps want to play as another character from an entirely different game, then you can play as Ellie fromThe Last of Us. Well, if you’re PC user you can at least.
Thanks to Darkness Valtier, there is a PC mod that can be applied toResident Evil 2 Remakethat replaces Claire’s “Elza Walker” costume with a model of Ellie fromThe Last of Us.There is a video of the mod in action which you can find directly below. The mod itself is titledEllie The Last of Us Modaccording to the video title, and while it isn’t up on Nexus Mods at the moment, WCCFTech has alink to the file.
Admittedly, while it certainly looks like Ellie, I can’t help but be thrown off by the height of the character, especially when I’m looking at young Ellie’s face. It’s a bit jarring but for fans ofThe Last of Us,I’m sure it won’t cause too much of an issue.
Perhaps it’s due to the character being right next to a fully-grown woman throughout the cutscene because, in an earlier video released by Darkness Valtier (Found below), the height differences don’t appear to be so prominent.
Darkness Valtier has created a range of mods forResident Evil 2 Remakeover onNexus Mods, bringing characters such as Heather Mason fromSilent Hill 3to the game. Jack Baker fromResident Evil 7: Biohazard, and even Captain John Price fromCall of Duty: Modern Warfare.
While this mod seems pretty cool, especially for those who can’t wait forThe Last of Us: Part 2,I still find myself finding the honking-great mod that brings theUntitled Goose Gameto Capcom’s horror to be the best.
While the game launched earlier this year, we have had official confirmation thatResident Evil 3is on the way, and to add to that, an achievement inResident Evil 2seems totie into the upcoming third title.
