Helldivers 2has a multitude of enemies to take down, with one of them being the infamous Bile Spewer. These vile critters can shoot jets of corrosive acid, called Bile, and can be a bit tricky to take down if you don’t know their weak points.

Where Can You Encounter Bile Spewers?
Knowing how to take down an enemy inHelldivers 2is important, but first, you must find them. You may wonder why you would want to look for trouble, but some Major Orders can only be completed by taking down specific enemies. The Bile Spewer is not a rare enemy type, but you can enhance your chances.
To find Bile Spewers, you can choose almost any Terminid mission. These enemies spawn in Moderate and higher difficulty missions and become most common in Hard difficulty and during 15-minute ‘Defend Area’ missions. The encounter chances become better during the nighttime.

Eradicate missions will have a higher chance of more of these spawning in, as the entire experience becomes a horde survival mode. Among the thousands of bugs rushing at you, you can be sure there are some Bile spewers in the crowd. If you’re going for Eradicate missions, do so with a full squad, as you might die before a Bile Spewer spawns.
There are two kinds of Bile Spewers a Helldiver will encounter. The more common ones have a green abdomen, but there are some with an orange abdomen. These are known as a Nursing Spewer and are a bit easier than the regular variant inHelldivers 2.
How to Kill Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2?
Once you’ve encountered a Bile Spewer, you’ll quickly come to know just how deadly they can be on the battlefield. Given their ability to attack from a distance, it’s important to take them out as soon as possible before dealing with the smaller mobs. The moderate armor on these bugs also makes them a bit tricky to eliminate, as they can eat quite a bit of ammo before going down.
The first weak point to aim for is the head or, more specifically, the mouth. Now, this can be a bit tricky, as you can only get a clear shot at the mouth when the Spewer is getting ready to attack. It’s a small window of opportunity, but if you’re able to land some hits with a Medium Armor Penetrating weapon, you can deal some massive damage andhit your favorite emote for your unerring accuracy.

The second weak spot is the large, glowing abdomen. Attacking this area with regular ammo is not the best strategy as it can take a lot of damage. These bugs move pretty slowly, so it’s easy to circle them to shoot the abdomen, but they can read back and attack you with acid. Also, be ready to dive for cover, as taking them out by dealing damage to this area will cause an explosion.
At higher difficulties, these Spewers become mortar cannons, shooting large wads of acid in an arc over a wide area. The acid does explosive damage, so you can negate some of it by equipping the Fortified armor perk.
What Weapons to Use Against a Bile Spewer?
You can either use primary weapons to take down these enemies,or call in some stratagems.The abdomen of this big is weak to explosive damage. Landing a grenade right under or near the Spewer can take it out with a single hit, and the GL-21 Grenade Launcher is a perfect choice. The RS-422 Railgun can one-shot a Bile Spewer if the player can hit the mouth; otherwise, two fully charged body shots will do the trick.

You’ll need only two rounds from the AC-8 Autocannon to down the Spewer by targeting the mouth or getting under the armor to the abdomen. The APW-1 Anti-Material Rifle is another guaranteed single-shot kill if you can hit the head.
Aside from the guns you bring into battle, you can use stratagems such as the Orbital Precision Strikes, Eagle Strikes, and Hellbombs thanks to their explosive capabilities.
