He lets me ride around in his little golf cart that says ‘Cowboy’ on it. He always picks me up and takes me to the stage, which is very generous of him. But I have to say that he is just one of the loveliest, most generous and funny leading men I’ve ever had.

Now that’s what we call a star with true charm!

But that’s not all! Malick playfully noted that Ford also moonlights as her personal sommelier, introducing her to fantastic wines and concocting “really wonderful tequila cocktails”. Reflecting on Ford’s appeal, Malick recalled when he was named PEOPLE’sSexiest Man Alivein 1998:

Harrison, I think the reason he’s had such lasting power, and it doesn’t matter if he’s getting older and a little wrinklier and gray-haired and stuff, it’s the little mischievous smile that he has in everything he does.

Ford introduces Malick to great wines and makes her delicious tequila cocktails, adding fun to their time on the Shrinking set.

She highlights that despite the natural signs of aging—wrinkles and gray hair—Ford’s charm remains unscathed. In other words, while time marches on, the personality of theAmerican Graffitistar shines brighter than any wrinkle could dull.

Wendie Malick on The Irresistible Charm of Harrison Ford

In the same interview, Wendie Malick elaborated on what makesHarrison Fordspecial, highlighting his “irresistible” humor and approachability, noting that his dry wit and the fact that he doesn’t take himself “too seriously”make him particularly appealing. TheDream Onactress added:

He’s not one of those ‘Hey…’ types; he’s more like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t even know how I got here. Who knows?’

It’s this relatable charm that keeps audiences coming back for more.

In the second seasonofShrinking, Malick mentioned that she and Ford have built a solid rapport, which adds authenticity to their on-screen romance. She explained:

“I’ve got to explain to everybody I’m not a Nazi”: Harrison Ford Went Too Far With His Prank on Mads Mikkelsen That Made Things Awkward

That pretty much happened right away, but coming back last season was really interesting because we got into my backstory and we shifted in terms of our relationship when I no longer could be his doctor as we were seeing each other.

Her character, Dr. Julie Baram, finds herself romantically involved with Ford’s Dr. Paul Rhoades, after he becomes her patient. She reflected:

What I love about this show is it mirrors what so many of us are going through—dealing with unexpected loss and health challenges, and how you choose your family at a certain age. It’s not so much about blood relatives as it is about the friends you want in your life.
