Xbox is thriving right now through some of its exclusive titles and its Game Pass. However, recently it has broken its exclusivity to surface four popular first-party titles on its arch-rival platform, PlayStation. Even popular titles likeStarfieldandIndiana Jonesare rumored to be on PlayStation pretty soon. Now, ifHalojoins the party too, then it might well be the final nail in the coffin for Xbox.

We have already seen how Xbox has let go of four of its prime first-party titles to other platforms:Hi-FiRush,Pentiment,Sea of Thieves, andGrounded. Other popular Xbox-exclusive titles likeStarfieldandIndiana Joneswill reportedly be released on Sony’s console as well.

These are not just mere releases; they are all part of Project Latitude, on which Microsoft has been working recently, according to a reputable industry insider, Tom Warren. And fans think this might well be the end for Xbox.
As Phil Spencer said “We lose our way with Halo, we lose our way with Xbox”. Halo on PlayStation is the nail in the coffin for Xbox hardware. Halo is intrinsically Xbox, as Zelda and Mario is for Nintendo. Without console hardware, Gamepass is dead in the water.
