Grounded 2 is far more focused on giving you a memorable story with an antagonist that is shrouded in mystery and chaos than its predecessor. There’s some pretty solid build-up to this fight, so it’ll be important to come prepared.

This guide will serve to break down all the aspects directly leading up to thisboss fight. I’ll have some tips and tricks listed for you as well, just in case you’re a little unsure of how to tackle the challenges in front of you.

Building something pretty next to your friend’s dirt hut has never been easier than with these games.

If you’ve made it to this part of the story, you may want to buckle up because this one is going to take you some time. This is the final part of this “act”, so it’s fairly long and can take you up to two hours if you aren’t well-prepared.

Grounded 2 Masked Stranger Location

This guide contains spoilers for the end of the first “act” of Grounded 2. If you have not reached this point in the story, please do not read beyond this point.

Masked Stranger Location

Well, to find the Masked Stranger, you’ll need to have completed the previous story quest that has you hacking into two O.R.C. Transmitters. Once you’ve done that, the Masked Stranger will invite you to the statue, where they’ll challenge you to a fight.

You should get a marker on your map that points out exactly where you should head. You’ll be pointed to a small pipe that will be your starting point for the long journey ahead.

Grounded 2 Masked Stranger Making the Climb

Making The Climb

Once you’ve reached the small pipe, you’ll want to follow it until it spits you out in a stone maze. From here, it doesn’t matter which way you go,but I recommend going left so you can grab the Ranger Outpost on that side, which provides easy access to the area beneath the statue.

I’ll cover the important areas and bosses you’ll pass through, along with some shortcuts, but this is mostly a straight shot. If there’s any gear you want upgraded or any items you need to craft, you should do so before attempting to do this.

Grounded 2 Masked Stranger Major Diesel

The Pipeline

Inside the pipeline, you’ll have a pretty much straightforward path with a few O.R.C. Larva in your way. The boss for this part is a Stinkbug named Major Diesel, who’s going to fight you in a rather small space, so avoiding the poisonous gas will be impossible.

You can check Major Diesel’s stats below:

Weaknesses

Stabbing, Fresh

Resistances

Weak Points

If you have a gas mask, now is the time to use it. It can be better to stay at range and attack, but if you have to be up close, verify you have some bandages for after the fight.

you may bait him into the pipe you came in from, and he should get stuck. This gives you free rein to attack as much as necessary.

Best Survival Games To Get Into The Genre

After defeating Major Diesel, you’ll want to summon yourRed Ant Buggie, so you can break through the roots blocking the left side of the wall by the door. From here, it’s just a straight shot to the next section.

9 Best Games That Will Make You A Survival Game Fan

Survive and thrive in these titles that stand out from the rest.

The Stone Maze

This isn’t really a maze since you can’t get lost. If you just follow the main path, you’ll end up underneath the statue. If you’re running into a lot of enemies, then clearly, by video game logic, you’re going the right way.

You should take the left side of this pathway, so you end up right next to a Ranger Outpost that will provide you with a quick and easy way up to the area beneath the statue.Explore this Outpost thoroughlyas it’ll have some great healing items to keep you going for the next few parts.

Once you’re all done with that, you should see a water hose in front of the door a little ways away. Follow it to the right, and you should see the next boss you’ll have to fight, Captain Nitro.

10 Best Survival Games With Soulslike Elements

Survival games can be tough, but these best survival games test even the most experienced survivalist with their Soulslike elements.

Base of Statue

Here you’ll be fighting Captain Nitro to earn your way into the bushes beneath the statue. He’s a pretty tough customer, so verify you’ve got healing items and try to use one of his weaknesses to make it go a bit faster.

You can check Captain Nitro’s stats below:

Fresh, Slashing, Venom

Rump, Stinger

If you have anything to cure venom, you can use some of it now, but I highly suggest using it sparingly. This will not be the last time you face a venomous foe.

Once you’ve beaten Captain Nitro, you can just break through the roots behind where he was guarding with your Red Ant Buggie and run on through.

Moving up the Base

you may pretty much just follow the branches as they lead up. Soon after entering this part of the statue, you’ll end up at the Statue Checkpoint. You can find some healing items here as well as a water cooler in case you need a drink.

When you’ve got what you need, follow the other branch that leads downward. you may just follow these branches past the three passages blocked by roots until you reach the next area, the Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden

All you’ve got to do is follow the ribbon here. It’ll lead you to the next boss you fight, Lieutenant Blade. This praying mantis boss can do some considerable damage in a single swipe, so you’ll want to try and keep your distance.

You can check Lieutenant Blade’s stats below:

Fresh, Slashing

Smashing, Stabbing, Spicy

Eyes: Stabbing

If you don’t have any items that can do the damage types for their weakness, your best bet is to try and use your Buggie to soak up some of the aggro. This is one of the tougher fights, but by no means is it the most difficult.

One of the best weapons for this fight is the Glacial Sting. It does Fresh (ice) damage from a distance, so you’ll be able to stay safe without worrying about running out of ammo or anything.

Currently, you may sort of cheese this encounter by running past Lt. Blade and getting up on the ribbon. They won’t be able to attack you, while you can hit them from a distance.

When you’ve defeated Lt. Blade, just keep following the ribbon into the hedge and then turn right.you’re able to stop by the little Ominent Facility right there for some healing items before heading upward.

You’ll face off against an O.R.C. Mosquito and an O.R.C. Orbweaver as you make your way to the bottom of the BURG.L Statue. Keep pressing forward for now, even if you’re low on items; soon you’ll unlock a shortcut to make getting back up here much easier.

The Statue Climb

You’ve now entered the Statue Lab, which is a five-level lab filled with all kinds of little critters. While it might look complicated, everything is rather straightforward; the only problem is that there will be a lot of things in your way as you make your way up this statue.

I’ll cover any shortcuts provided as well as go over what you’ll need to do for each level. Once you’re inside the facility, the very first thing you should do is go right to unlock a shortcut down to the Statue Checkpoint you found earlier.

Then you may either return to your base to load up or go back to the statue to continue. If you continue next, you’ll just proceed through the facility listening to your character offer some interesting comments on what’s happened.

In this level, all you need to worry about is a couple of O.R.C. Weevils that will explode if they get close enough. verify you do some exploring around this area to find any healing items.

In the room with the weevils, turn right as you enter, and you’ll find a chest with snail shell parts in it. You’ll want to grab these, as for now, there’s no way to acquire them in the park naturally.

How can I survive off of grass and dropped frames?

The Second Level

This level is pretty similar to the first, in that it really isn’t all that dangerous. There is, however, a place to rest just on the left as you come in.While I don’t recommend sleeping,as the entire facility has lights, it’s a good spot to make your respawn point.

If you follow the path forwards, you’ll run into a room similar to a cubicle farm, a lot of individual desks pushed together with monitors on them. Here you’ll find five weevils, two red ants, and two larvae, all of which are there specifically to stop you.

Press onwards, and you’ll fight one more weevil before reaching the tube to take you to the third level. Not too much further now before your final boss battle.

The Third Level

Here you’ll face off against the dreaded General Berserker, a cockroach queen. You can’t really outrun this fight, so get ready for an annoying fight.

You can check General Berserker’s stats below:

Gas Immunity, Fresh, Spicy, Venom

Since it’s a cockroach, that means two things.

It’s also got no weaknesses, so just use whatever your strongest weapon is.attempt to avoid the acid by listening for the sound cue and dodging to either side.

Now you’ll have to flip on three switches once you grab the Network Center Access Pass from the corpse behind the machine. You’ll need to go into both of the other rooms and restore power to that big machine in the center of the room.

The left side will have you fight some roach nymphs and fix some wires by dropping down holes, while the other side will see you simply flipping some switches after fighting another roach.

Get healed up and go back to the machine once you’ve flipped all three switches. After you activate the machine, the remaining door should unlock.

The Fourth Level

You’re only one level away from reaching the Masked Stranger. When you first arrive, you’ll have a locked door on your right. Don’t worry about this for now and just head on through the other door.

Follow the hallway until you come to a server room, a room with lots of wires and tall metal boxes. Here, you’ll fight three red ants, three spiderlings, two orbweaver jr spiders, and a larva.

Now you go keep going until you hit the ladder. You’ll go up to another level where you’ll find a chest with a couple of healing items. I recommend grabbing them.

Then drop into the vent system on the left side of the room. There will be a few more orbweaver jr’s and spiderlings, so be ready for that.

It’ll spit you out on the side of the locked door from the beginning of the level. Unlock that door and either proceed up to the final battle or go get prepared for it.

Fighting The Masked Stranger

This is it. This is what all your training has been for: to challenge this crazy person to a fight and win back your robot friend’s head.

They aren’t going to give up easily, and one could say they’re even more prepared than you are. They’ve got tons of health and a sword that deals Sizzle Damage with every strike.

You can check The Masked Stranger’s stats below:

The Masked Stranger Attack Breakdown

I’ll break down their attacks and then go over some tips that helped me conquer this foe. Just remember, you could come up with a whole other way to beat them, but this is what worked for me.

Descriptions

Dash Swipe

Holds sword behind them, dashing a short distance and swiping twice.

Jump Swing

Jumps into the air and slams down on top of you.

Holds sword at side, jutting it forward and dashing a long distance.

Three Swipes

Swings sword three times in quick succession.

Quad Slice

Two quick slices while moving forward before stopping. Dashes while slicing in a circle, following it with another slice.

Spicy Area

Raises weapon, creating a Spicy Damage AoE that will explode after a short windup.

Like every good boss, there are two phases you’ll need to get through. Once the Masked Stranger is about halfway down on health, they’ll heal up, triggering their next phase.

TIps For Defeating The Masked Stranger

Here are some of the things I used to beat the Masked Stranger. They aren’t definitively the best way to win, but they should make it easier.

When you get them down to half-health again, they’ll run away and summon the next actual final boss, a massive Wolf Spider.

The Real Final Fight

Now you’ll be up against Bandit, the Wolf Spider. Bandit is strong and provides far less opportunity to attack than the Masked Stranger did. There isn’t a perfect strategy for fighting Bandit other than being overprepared.

You can check Bandit, the Wolf Spider’s stats below:

Smashing, Stabbing, Fresh, Venom

If you have any weapons that deal Spicy, you should use them. Beyond that, attempt to have a few smoothies that give you better defense and cure venom so that you can keep yourself alive.

Bandit is humongous, and there isn’t any way to get any real distance, so you may just want to attempt to force your way past him.I mostly just blocked his attacks as I attacked with my Spicy Staff while trying to out-heal the damage they did.

Don’t worry, this time when you kill Bandit, it’ll be over for real, and now you can grab BURG.L’s head along with another Turbo Optical Disk.

Masked Stranger Rewards

Congratulations! You’ve just beaten the first “act” of Grounded 2. Once you return to a Ranger Station, you’ll be able to unlock the Orbweaver Buggie!

You’ll also be prompted to finish any extraneous things left in the park. Sloane will give you a nice pat on the back while giving you more work, in true executive fashion.

You may have finished the main story so far, but there’s so much more to do in thisopen-world survival game. Go out and explore the rest of the park, building basesand crushing bugs.
