Little did Zaku know that Orochimaru actually took him in as a disposable pawn in his grand scheme. In the Konoha Crush arc, it was revealed that Zaku was actually used as a sacrifice to summon the soul of the first and second Hokage along with Kin. Sakura and Lee were almost killed by the Sound Ninjas, and no one batted an eyelid. Gaara was almost allowed to kill Rock Lee, and all of this happened to kids belonging to a tender age group.
