PlayStationhas confirmed thatGod Of War Ragnarokwas the most downloaded game on PlayStation 5 for the month of November 2022.Modern Warfare 2also takes the crown for the most downloaded PlayStation 4 title for last month.
In a recentblog post, PlayStation released the full rankings of the most downloaded PlayStation games between PS4 and PS5 across the EU and the US/Canada. God of War Ragnarok was released earlier last month on November 9 and was able to secure the top spot for downloads on the newest console, the PlayStation 5.

Although God Of War did also release on the PlayStation 4, sales appear to be much higher on the newer generation of console, although Sony has not confirmed exact sales numbers. Modern Warfare 2, on the other hand, had some extra time to climb the rankings, as it was released on October 22nd, but has been receiving many updates and new content leading to its continued success, making it the most downloaded PS4 title of the month of November. Both games also ranked second for downloads for the other console, with Modern Warfare 2 being the second most downloaded PS5 game and God Of War Ragnarok being the second most downloaded PS4 game.
PlayStation’s new report also details the top downloads for free-to-play games for both consoles along with PS VR downloads. Beat Saber and Superhot VR led the top downloads in the US/Canada and EU respectively with Warzone 2.0 taking the top place for free-to-play for both regions and Overwatch 2 taking second.
Since its October release, Modern Warfare 2 has received a new DMZ mode, and the release of Warzone 2.0, helping draw more attention to the game post-launch. There has also been mention of more maps and game modes coming to the multiplayer in the coming months. Modern Warfare 2 also may be having afree-to-play weekendfor its multiplayer later this month, possibly drawing in new players and furthering its overall success.
A bit further down on the list shows FIFA 23 having a mostly successful month of downloads in November following its September release. Cyberpunk 2077 also seemed to have a relatively successful month of downloads on the PS5, further following the resurgence of players thanks to the success of its new Netflix series and continued updates.
