Sumeru is chock-full of new features inGenshin Impact. With theaddition of Dendro characters, the widely popular game introduced a new meta play style and countless new means to mix and match party composition.

With new character types came new artifact sets, including two powerful options for Childe and Dehya located in the newly added Molten Iron Fortress trial.The Molten Iron Fortress sitsdeep in Sumeru territorybut yields solid rewards for a relatively quick combat experience.
Locating & Unlocking The Molten Iron Fortress
Finding the Molten Iron Fortress takes a bit of a trek, as it sits in the furthest corners of the new Sumeru map. By traveling to the tip of the northwest portion of the map, the player will locate two domains before reaching the end of the currently explorable area.The first domain entrance is the Molten Iron Fortress, located in the midst of giant stone mountains in the Gavireh Lajavard, Girdle of the Sands. It is almost exactly south of the Gavireh Lajavard statue Teleport Waypoint.
Domain Overview & Strategy
The Molten Iron Fortress domain is not nearly as intimidating as the name suggests. For tiers one and two, the player will face off against a handful of lesser Hilichurls and, in tier two, a Hilichurl Rogue.
Fortier one, the player must defeat twelve enemies in 300 seconds to achieve victory, andany team composition that quickly deals with clearing large amounts of enemies will be useful.
Tier twosees the player defeating nine enemies in 300 seconds to emerge victorious. After clearing the first eight Hilichurls, the player will face off against an Anemo Hilichurl Rogue, which requires a bit more damage output to deal with effectively.
Intier three, the player must vanquish seven enemies in 300 seconds in two waves, ending the domain with a battle against a Hydro Hilichurl Rogue.

The final tier requires a bit more strategy to clear, though with any decent damage oriented team, the player should see little resistance. Intier four, the player will initially battle a wave of Blazing Axe Mitachurls — the giant axe-wielding Hilichurls — before facing a second wave consisting of two Hilichurl Rogues (one Anemo and one Hydro). The clear conditions remain the same as previous tiers, requiring the player to annihilate the four enemies in 300 seconds.
The Rogues require a bit of damage to dispatch quickly, though a party that consists of Xiao and Bennett,Ittoand his Geo team, Childe and Kokomi, or any competent Dendro duo will see success in a manner of a minute or two.The Rogues can deal some decent damage if the player is not careful and can spend extended time in the air launching attacks. Gathering the two Rogues together and spamming high damage output is the easiest path to victory.
The Molten Iron Fortress does have a Ley-line disorder in effect, which powers up the Elemental Mastery of the party in play by 150 for eight seconds when the party triggers a Dendro reaction.In other words, utilizing astrong Dendro teamwill maximize efficiency in clearing the Molten Iron Fortress.
Domain Rewards
Should the player need artifacts to power up specific Hydro or Dendro characters, the Molten Iron Fortress is a great domain to grind.Childe and Ayato benefit from equipping four pieces of the Nymph’s Dream set, which increase Hydro damage by up to 30% when stacking Mirrored Nymph.
Dehya is one of the primary benefactors of the Vourukasha’s Glow set, which increases HP by 20% and Elemental Skill and Burst Damage by 10%. If Dehya is damaged, the Elemental Skill and Burst Damage are increased by 80% and can stack five times while being able to be triggered when the stacked character is switched out of battle.
With the Molten Iron Fortress conquered, the grind for artifacts should begin, particularly for those wishing to empower Dehya or Childe.You should only require a maximum of two minutes to clear the domain, which clocks in at a much quicker clear rate than many other desirable domains.
