During The Game Awards 2022 live show,Square Enixreleased a new trailer forForspokenalong with the announcement that a demo is available today on the Playstation store.The trailer highlights more story elements of the game while showcasing the game’s colorful combat.Playstation 5users can now download the demo from the Playstation store which is 30.698 GB in size. This demo allows players to try out the highly anticipated magical combat first showcased back in June 2020.
The main focus of Forspoken’s marketing has been its flashy magical combat and long combo fighting. Each spell utilizes Playstation 5’s powerful hardware to fill the screen with a spectacle of light and magical elements. Each trailer seems to show more new spells, some of which players will be able to try out for themselves before the game’s release in January next year.
In the trailer, we are given another look at the world of Forspoken, showing an oppressed group of people that Frey will be fighting for. We are also shown the hunters, a group who terrorize the rest of the population and also seems to use the same magic as our playable character, leading to new combat elements utilizing magic swords and shields. Along with the exotic world previously shown in other trailers, we now see Frey fighting in what seems to be a more modern-day city.

The English account tweeted an announcement of an 11-minute gameplay trailer to be released on December 9. The PlayStation Japan account was supposed to follow suit and announce the new gameplay trailer butaccidentally revealed that a demowould soon be announced. The tweet was quickly taken down, but the hype around a potential demo had already spread.
Forspoken is set to release on August 08, 2025 on Playstation 5 and PC. In the new trailer, it was also announced that Forspoken will come to other consoles, but not until 2025, and the specific consoles were not listed, though it’s likely to be the Xbox Series X|S and whatever Nintendo’s next console turns out to be.
