For Honormade an appearance in the UbiForward event with the introduction of the new story update,Resistance. According to the trailer the Order of Horkos has imposed a reign of terror on the land. For Honor’s Wardenjoined the rosterofSamurai Shodownback in June as part of a crossover between Ubisoft and SNK. Warden was the last character to round out the game’s second season pass.
During the Ubisoft Forward presentation it was revealed that Aiden Pearce, the protagonist from the originalWatch Dogs, will bemaking his returnin the upcomingLegionthrough standalone DLC. We also found out howagent recruitment will work.Watch Dogs: Legionalso received some love, as Ubisoft and rapper Stormzy announced their collaboration for a brand new music video titled “Rainfall,” which will be part of a special mission available at launch. The collab is meant to reflect the diversity of the upcoming title’s latest locale of London.
We also got a look at thenew update systemthat will be implemented forThe Crew 2, starting withYear 3. According to the trailer below each of these seasons will drop new content for the game every four months, with every season being split into two different episodes. And anew trailer for the upcomingGhost Recon Breakpoint: Red Patriot–The Return of the Bodarksshowed off quite a bit of story, as players must stop a rogue Major Pyotr Bukharov and his group the Raven’s Rock.
The UbiFoward event also revealed several other surprise announcements. One of themincluded the triumphant returnof theScott Pilgrim vs. The Worldvideo game that was released for the Xbox Arcade and then delisted in 2014.Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: Complete Editionis releasing this holiday season on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC via UPlay.
ThePrince of Persia: The Sands of Timeremake was also revealed and launches on January 21st on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This was quite the happy announcement for fans of the franchise, as it’s been essentially dormant since 2010 (barring the occasional mobile game and Prince cameo).
Ahead of the UbiForward event,Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot addressedsome of the many controversies the company has encountered in the last few months and gave some plans for meaningful action. Guillemot stated that the company will commit to putting together a million-dollar fund for its graduate program. This will focus on providing opportunities for underrepresented groups including women and people of color. The company is also making a donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, though the amount has not been specified.
