To kick off this week, where the Evolution Championship Series (more commonly known as Evo) in Las Vegas this weekend, Sony announced the first wireless fightstick for thePS5called the “FlexStrike.”

This fightstick is designed by Sony itself and is compatible with the PS5 and PC.

People attending Evo this weekend will be able to see the fightstick on display for the first time, which should give gamers a glimpse of what they can expect to buy in 2026.

Sony Designs Own PS5 Wireless Fight Games Controller

There’s no release date for the stick yet, butSonydid talk about its features. FIghting game fans will be able to connect the controller via the PlayStation Link, Sony’s “ultra-low latency” wireless tech, or with a wired connection.

The FlexStrike will feature mechanical switch buttons and toolless swappable restrictor gates. These will include square, circle, and octagon restrictor gates that fit into the stick’s built-in storage compartments.

Cozy gamers will have a good entry this week.

No word yet on the cost of the FlexStrike, but it won’t come cheap, given that fightsticks with quality parts, even those that aren’t wireless, are already a bit pricey. There’s also no release date for it outside of 2026, though more info about that will be shared in the future.
