Critically acclaimed MMORPGFinal Fantasy XIVhasover 200 mountsfor playersto collect and ride around the world. Among these mounts is the Kirin mount, a majestic steed with a golden mane and beautiful wings that sprout when the player activates flight.

Once the Kirin mount has been unlocked the player will also obtain the “Tamer of Steeds” title to commemorate the occasion. But how would you obtain this golden horse of legend?
Collecting The Primal Steeds
To unlock the quest that allows you to obtain the Kirin mount, players must firstcollect the 6 Primal Poniesassociated with each level 50 Primal from the base game ofA Realm Reborn. These fights can be done in less than a minute each if the player fights them unsynced at levels 80-90. If you don’t have a job at this level yet, you could simply wait or ask around the various hub areas or in the game’s Party Finder to find somebody who would be willing to help.
The mounts are, however,rare dropsfrom the fights, so you may have to do them a few times before the mount drops, you could also try doing them synced if you may find a full party for it, but it will be significantly harder.
Six Primal Steeds
You can also obtain theNightmare Whistlefrom the Garuda fight in The Howling Eye (Extreme),which is rarer than the Xanthos Whistle, but itisn’t required to unlock the Kirin Mount.

A Legend For A Legend
Once the player has unlocked all of these mounts, the quest"A Legend For A Legend"will become available to them. The player should travel toMor Dhona and speak to the Wandering Minstrel at (x:21.8, y:8.8). Following this quest will take the player to theRathefrost in the Fogfensnot far from Mor Dhona, where they will blow aMagicked Dizi thatwill summon the magical Kirin before you.
This is the simple end of the quest and all you need to do to unlock the Kirin mount, which will also give the player theIchiban Achievement and the “Tamer of Steeds” title.
