After the tragedy at Phoenix Gate, Clive was believed dead and ended up as a branded for the Empire, destined to battle until the day he perished. After the opening credits roll, it was easy to assume the worst for Torgal, after the flames of the secondEikon of Fireenveloped what seemed like the entirety of Phoenix Gate. Fortunately for everyone,Torgal survived.
Where To Find Torgal
Initially, Clive is serving on a mission to assassinate the Dominant ofShivaafter her epic battle withTitan. He and Tiamat, the presumed leader of the assassin group and another branded, face off in mortal combat when Clive recognizes the Dominant of Ice and refuses to take her life.
Afterslaying Tiamat, Clive and the Dominant of Ice are rescued byCid, who spots them courtesy of Torgal.Thanks to the now full-grown pet, the two are taken toCid’s Hideaway, where Torgal and Clive are officially reunited. From this point on,Torgal follows Clive into the field, joining him in combat and providing a huge boon as a companion.

How To Pet Torgal
The most important question regarding Torgal is whether the playercan pet him. The answer is a resoundingYES. While the urge will persist to try and pet Torgal immediately after slaying Tiamat,Clive will be unable to do so until the prompt appears.
