Benedikta has a keen awareness of bothyour movementsand herown vulnerabilities. At first glance, her first phase may make her seem like a typicalAI-controlled opponentwith scripted moves, but her transformed second phase addresses many of theopeningsandweaknessesin her first phase techniques. The physical movesWind StyleandWind Rapierare yourbest betif you want to go fullDevil May Cryon her. These two moves are accompanied byvisual cuesthat Benedikta is initiating them and leave hervulnerablefor a good few seconds after casting. Benedikta only hasone sword move(not part of a combo) that she uses toretaliateat close range, but most of the time she would just castAerogaat close range or retreat and focus on herlong-range Wind spells, so closing the distance between you and her actually works in your favor here.
TheAero Festivalis also easy to avoid because the namesAeroraandAerogaappear on the screen. The techniques that are hard to avoid are the twoWind Blades.Don’t Phoenix Shiftto get past them, instead dodgeleftandrightuntil they’re over, then approach her. There’s acinematic actionscene that comes up when her health is at critical levels(no needto actuallybring it down to zero), and whether you succeed or fail, you’ll unfortunately lose the ability to useTorgalfor a good chunk of the second phase.

How To Defeat Benedikta’s Second Phase
There are an awful lot of techniques at Benedikta’s disposal here, so you need to discern which ones are safe to approach and do the good damage.Nose Diveis your best safe bet as it iseasy to avoid. The rest you have toavoidcompletely until she finishescastingthem. Don’t interrupt any of herGardua styleattacks, as the Gardua Claw can hit hard. Always make sure there’s asafe distancebetween you and her as well so you don’t get caught in herGathering Clouds or Deadly Embrace.
You caninterruptBenedikta’sTornadoattack with your magic and skills, so when her name appears on the screen, it’s actually a suggestion that yougo and interrupt her, not the other way around.

HerDeadly Embrace phaseis one of the mostferociousphases you will face in the game up to that point. The good thing is that Benedikta ismuch less likelytoattack with anything other than Deadly Embrace(and its variants) andTornado, so if you want to, you can just step away and charge at her withFire Magicwithout having to deal with all that Garuda Claw stuff.
Therewardsfor this fight are:60 Experience Points, 150 Ability Points, 2200 Gil, The Will of Fire (Rising Flames) accessory, 50 Wyrrite, and 2 Meteorite.
