How To Automatically Assign Abilities
While you have theAbility tab highlightedin the menu, you will be able toselect abilities you want to give Clive, as well asmake already obtained abilities even more powerful. Here you canpress the optimal button to automatically spend all available Ability Pointsto what the game feels would best benefit you. The optimal button is represented byholding down the left analog stick, orL3as it is also known.
Can You Undo Automatically Assigned Abilities
Yes, there are actuallytwo waysyou can convert assigned abilities back into the ability points you spent to get them. The first is to highlight the ability you no longer want andhold down the square button. This willremove that single abilityand give you its cost as ability points. The second is tohold down the touchpad;this willrefund every Abilityyou have spent Ability Points to obtain. This is a great option when you want todo a full respecof your character, and there isno limitto how many times you may use this feature.
You will not be able to refund abilities that cost no ability points, such as starting abilities. This means they will always be part of your kit.

Should You Use This Feature?
Unless you want to focus on very specific upgrade options, there is no real downside to using this feature, soif you are unsure what to spend points on, you may just hold down L3 to upgrade Clive. It is agreat way to stay invested in the action and playing the gamewithout having to worry about any micromanagement elements. Once you know what you want from playing the game or searching online,you can always respec.
