Team FOLON, the developer behind Fallout: London, an ambitious upcoming mod forFallout 4, has expressed interest in pursuing an original project after the mod is released.
This information comes froman interviewthat our own Robert Zak conducted with project lead Dean Carter and lead 2D artist Emily Kemp of Team FOLON.

Fallout 4: 10 Best Random Encounters, Ranked
Fallout 4’s random encounters breathe life into the post-apocalyptic world. This list breaks down the 10 best found in the game.
“You might have realised that we technically have two names, Fallout London and Team FOLON. The latter is a registered trademark because we have plans to move onto something in the future,” Carter explained.

“We’ve worked too hard and too long to not do something, even if it’s all of just sitting around wearing our hoodies in a place, you know, it’s enough. I personally would love to emulate what happened with The Forgotten City. They were a bunch of Skyrim modders and they went on to create their own game,” he continued.
The Forgotten City was originally a popular Skyrim mod that saw The Dragonborn descend into an ancient underground city to solve a murder mystery. After releasing the mod, creator Nick Pearce founded his studio Modern Storyteller and expanded the mod into a standalone game, which was released in 2021 to critical acclaim.

“Yeah, they moved on from that because they won the award [Australian Writer’s Guild]. They’re like, ‘We’ve clearly got something good’. They created Modern Storyteller and they released their game and it did fantastic. They’re people we would like to emulate. That’s me personally though, I don’t know what the staff wants, but that’s what I would love,” Carter added.
We worked too hard and too long to not do something.

Kemp chimed in, saying the path Modern Storyteller took was “aspirational.” Carter then spoke about how Pearce received public funding in Australia for The Forgotten City, before acknowledging this was highly unlikely to happen in the United Kingdom.
Fallout London is scheduled to release on Aug 01, 2025 as detailed in an update video the team posted shortly before the new year.
