Exoprimal’s unique premise makes it the perfect game to play with friends, but the cross-platform functionality of the game has got some fans scratching their heads. Equipped with exosuits, players need to defeat waves of dinosaurs, along with their teammates.

The game is multiplayer-only, and players get to try various classes, which are quite unique and offer a wide range of abilities for different playstyles. One of the most important aspects players are curious to learn more about multiplayer games these days is cross-platform play. Considering Exoprimal’s multiplayer-only aspect, the cross-platform play feature becomes even more important. However, it is a tad different from what players will see in other games.
Using Cross-Platform Play
Players who jump into Exoprimal would be elated to find cross-platform play, a feature that allows them to play with their friends on different platforms, but unlike some other games, there is a catch here. As of now, Exoprimal only supports cross-platform play in matchmaking. What this means is that if you are looking to create a cross-platform party to play with your friends, you will not be able to do so as the game doesn’t support this as of now.
The developers have divided the players into three groups to distinguish the platforms which can create parties. In the first group, we have Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows, in the second we have PlayStation 4/5 and finally, group three contains Steam. While this is quite disappointing at first, it is very likely that we should be seeing the feature drop in one of the subsequent updates.
