Some of the more unique items inShadow of the Erdtreecan be found by completing the painting puzzles. These were there in the base game as well and function in much the same way, with the player needing to find the painting first and then the painter next. Completing the ‘The Sacred Tower’ painting is how to get the Spiraltree Seal!

Where to Find The Sacred Tower Painting in Elden Ring?

You can find The Sacred Tower painting in the Gravesite Plains, the very first region in the game. This will be the area you walk out into after touching the hand in the cocoon in Mohg’s arena. Once you have lit the first site of grace inShadow of the Erdtree, you are now free to explore the lands, find out its secrets, and take on its many threats.

To find The Sacred Tower painting, you need to head to a cave found in the northeast of the Gravesite Plains. From the starting site of grace, head west along the path and reach the Scorched Ruins. The hulking Furnace Golem is a good marker to followuntil you come to these Ruins. Once you light the site of grace at the ruin, head eastwards until you reach the cliff wall.

Follow along the curve of the cliff, and you’ll come upon a cave cut into the base of the cliff at around halfway of its length. You will find ‘The Sacred Tower’ painting inside the cave, and it depicts a vantage point overlooking the final area of the Shadow of the Erdtree, Enir-Ilim. Now, it’s time to find the painter and the Spiraltree Seal.

Where to Find the Spiraltree Seal Location in Shadow of the Erdtree?

The Spiraltree Seal location can be found on the high ground above the Temple Town Ruins. To reach this area, you will have to head to the Moorth Ruins site of grace to begin your journey to find the painter. If you haven’t visited this site of grace yet, first head to the Highroad Cross grace andget the gesture needed to fight Dryleaf Dane.

Once you’re at the Moorth Ruins, open your map, and you will spot a pond north-east of the Ruins. Head to this watery area, and you will spot an opening in the stone wall ahead of you. Go through this narrow passageway, and once you exit, keep following the cliff wall on your left. There are poison areas along the way, so make sure you are riding Torrent to avoid taking damage and also outrun the Gravebirds.

You will now come to the Rauh Base location, where you can activate another site of grace. Keep pushing forward, but be wary of the Golem Archer, who will start to shoot at you after you make enough progress in this area. This is also a Golem Warrior ahead of the archer, but you can rush past both as they are not important to take down.

Keep to the left of this valley-like passage, and you will finally come upon a Sealed Spiritspring. The Seal to unlock this Spring can be found by heading the incline pathin front of you and knocking over the rocks at the end of this path. Double back and use the Spiritspring to get above the first cliff, and use the second one to get to the area where you will find the painter.

The center of this area has a Nameless Northern Mausoleum where you can fight against the Red Bear. However, before you do so, follow the edge of the cliff along the right until you see a bridge in the distance and Furnace Golem. As long as you stick to the cliff edge, the painter’s chair should appear in front of you. Once the painter disappears, he will leave behind the Spiraltree Seal.

It’s a lot of work for a seal that is outclassed by many others, even some found in the base game. However, if you’re planning on doing a Spiral Incantation-specific run, this is a good seal to have in your off-hand as it does give a boost to all of those attacks. Upgrading it is also pretty easy, as all you need are regular Smithing Stones.
