Forza Horizon 5is the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s hitForza Horizon 4.

Rumors suggest that the game is in early development and it will be revealed sooner or later but can we expect to seeForza Horizon 5at the upcoming Microsoft E3 2021 show?

For that, we will have to take a closer look at all the leaks and rumors we have come across so far.

Forza Horizon 5 - The Story So Far

We have seen a newForza Horizongame arriving every two years, ever since the gaming series debuted in 2012. If this pattern is to be believed, we should have seenForza Horizon 5launch by the end of 2020 but that didn’t happen.

It seems thatForza Horizon 5will take a longer time to arrive, which isn’t surprising since the release timeline of several games has been delayed due to the pandemic.

Even though the next instalment of the open-world racing game franchise hasn’t been announced yet, it hasn’t stopped speculations and rumors from flying around the internet.

Just like its predecessors, Forza Horizon 5 will most likely be an open-world racing game with amazing visuals, accessible driving mechanics, and a huge collection of high-quality licensed vehicles from dozens of manufacturers, all centred around theForza Horizonfestival — a street racing event in the game.

Forza Horizon 5 Could Be Heading To Mexico This Time

Earlier there were rumors thatForza Horizon 5will be set in Japan. However, some cryptic tweets between insiders suggest that the racing game will be set in Mexico instead.

Back in April, Windows Central’s Jez Corden posted a tweet saying he wanted to visit Mexico, followed by a Mexican flag and a car emoji. To which, the noted industry insider Jeff Grubb responded with a tease of his own.

In his reply, Grubb included the phrase “El coche va vroom” (which translates to “the car goes vroom” in Spanish).

This speculation solidified even more when Grubb made some comments during an appearance on theIron Lords Podcaston May 2. In reference to the aforementioned tweets, Grubb said, “Let’s start with Forza and the Mexican flag, I wonder what that means.”

Then, he goes on to confirm that the rumors and screenshot about Japan map were fake and strongly suggests thatForza Horizon 5could be set in Mexico this time.

While we still don’t have a hard evidence confirming all of it but coming from a trusted source like Jeff Grubb, it seems like a real possibility.

Will Forza Horizon 5 Be At E3 2021?

E3 2021 will be running from 12-15 June, making it the perfect time to reveal games that are coming in the second half of the year or update fans on the progress of titles.

So far, all the rumors seem to be pointing towards a potentialForza Horizon 5reveal at E3 2021.

There are still on going debates whether the game would arrive in 2021 or 2022. But according to Jeff Grubb, who not-so-subtly hinted on Twitter, thatForza Horizon 5could release at some point in 2021 (either the fall or the holidays).

This piece of information has been corroborated by other sources and community members including Klobrille, a well-known Xbox community member. OnResetEra, Klobrille suggested that Forza Horizon 5 could make an appearance at E3 2021 show alongside other Xbox titles at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase which is scheduled for July 18, 2025.

There is another rumor that suggestsForza Horizon 5may arrive in September 2021, and it has been gaining a lot of traction.

Reportedly, a new series collaboration between Forza and Hot Wheels reportedly is set to release in September this year. It was spotted by Hot Wheels-focused Instagram account, T-Hunted blog, which showed three Hot Wheels special edition cars with Forza Horizon painted alongside the cars.

Taking all the above rumors and leaks into consideration, there is a pretty good chance of seeing aForza Horizon 5reveal at E3 2021 games conference.

SoForza Horizonfans should not miss the Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda E3 event on July 28, 2025, where we will be seeing a ton of other great games and announcements.

In case,Forza Horizon 5doesn’t make an appearance at E3 2021, there are chances that Microsoft may be planning another games showcase later in the year. If that doesn’t happen either, Forza Horizon 5 may be way farther than we expected.
