Both the anime and manga ofDragon Ball Superare still on hiatus but the fans aren’t quite disappointed asDragon Ball DAIMAandDragon Ball: Sparking! Zeroare keeping them occupied for the moment. However, there’s a special panel at Jump Festa 2024 where Toyotaro and Victory Uchida will come to. So there’s a good chance that the announcement for the manga’s return will be revealed.

In the meantime,Dragon Ballfans are constantly wondering what sort of new villains could appear in future arcs. Certainly, there is much anticipation for the Black Frieza arc. The final chapter of the Granolah arc, where Frieza whipped up his new form to beat up Goku and Vegeta, dropped 2 years ago so fans definitely need some closure to that as well. But there’s another villain that fans would love to have inDragon Ball Super. A villain that madeDragon Ball GTfinally watchable.
This iconicDragon Ballvillain could finally be canon?
Baby Vegeta is one villain everyDragon Ballfan likes, irrespective of how they feel aboutDragon Ball GT. He is the last survivor of the Tuffle race who is rebuilt by his creation, Dr. Myuu, as a machine mutant to exterminate the Saiyans and restore his kind by controlling everyone on Earth.
During the Saiyan-Tuffle conflict, the last of the Tuffles developed genetically superior living forms, parasite-like organisms, and infused them with the Tuffle King’s DNA. These organisms were distributed around the universe during Age 730, with the ultimate purpose of annihilating the Saiyans in retaliation for King Vegeta and his Saiyan army destroying the Tuffles.

Dragon Ball GT Refused to Introduce the First Female Super Saiyan of Earth as “It would break the pattern”
And so, Baby Vegeta was the first Tuffle parasite to return and try to obtain vengeance against the Saiyan race. First, he began by taking over the bodies of Trunks, Goten, and Gohan and then finally took over Vegeta’s body, hence becoming Baby Vegeta. He was clearly stronger than Kid Buu and Perfect Cell combined, and he was so overwhelming that Goku had to forcefully reclaim his tail and transform into a brand-new Super Saiyan 4.
How can Baby Vegeta be relevant inDragon Ball Super?
The Tournament of Power showcases two warriors from Universe 2 that resemble the Tuffles, Zarbuto and Zirloin. However, the multiverse concept and the exploration of Tuffles from other realms open Baby up to some interesting opportunities. It’s possible that the Tournament of Power puts Universe 7 on Baby’s radar and makes him consider invading that universe because of the sheer strength of its fighters.
And then there’s the Granolah arc, where there exists a species that was almost wiped out by the Saiyans, just like the Tuffles. Before the Saga unraveled, it seemed like Granolah might have been a Tuffle and that this storyline was actually going to beDragon Ball Super’s way of incorporating Baby into the narrative.

Toyotarou Can Revive Dragon Ball Super by Bringing Back the Strongest Villain from GT With the Power to Destroy the Universe
Perhaps Frieza and the surviving members of the Heeters can encounter Baby during their escapades in outer space. Seeing how Baby hates the Saiyans, Frieza could train him up and make him a formidable foe against Goku, Vegeta, and Broly. InDragon Ball Super: Broly, Frieza was looking for Broly to be his second in command.
But now that Broly has joined Goku’s side, it’s easy for Frieza to manipulate a character like Baby to fight against Goku and the others and weaken them before he lands the finishing blow.

Toyotarou Can Still Use One Theory to Make Dragon Ball GT Canon, Give Vegeta and Goku Their Strongest Ever Super Saiyan Forms
Even Granolah can return to the story by sympathizing with Baby’s initial plight and then Baby could take advantage of this kindness and possess him, or the lone Cerealian could become the key to the tyrant’s destruction. Granolah’s story arc would come full circle and receive cathartic closure if he actually aids the Saiyans in their defeat of a Tuffle.
What do you think of these theories? Will Baby really be turned into a canon character inDragon Ball Super? Let me know what you think in the comments section below!
