While at first, most characters in the show had a balanced power level, over the years, the gap between the most powerful and the weakest has been widening immensely. Below, we will talk about the warriors who have proven themselves as the strongest in the show.

Spoiler Warning: Beware of main plot spoilers for the Dragon Ball franchise!

Broly from Dragon Ball Super about to transform

In his base form, Broly is a kind and polite young man who dislikes fighting and harming others. However, you must be careful about making this gentle giant angry, as he is hiding a devastating power inside. Broly was born as the Legendary Super Saiyan, a unique kind of warrior that is born every 1000 years, according to the legend.

Unlike a regular Super Saiyan, whose power lever is multiplied with each transformation but remains static, Broly’s power level is constantly increasing. This means that his strength knows no bounds, at least none that we are aware of. Still, he tends to lose control when he is angry, causing him to fight carelessly, leaving his opponents with many opportunities to take him down.

The Prince of all Saiyans was born as an elite warrior, vastly more powerful than the regular Saiyan. Vegeta has always been hailed as one of the most powerful and iconic characters in the franchise. His quest tobecome the best fighter and surpass Gokuhas led him to awaken many transformations, each more powerful than the last.

Vegeta from Dragon Ball during the Tournament of Power

His latest form is called Ultra Ego, a state opposite to the Ultra Instinct, which absorbs the damage caused to its user and transforms it into power. With it, Vegeta has been able to deal with threats as powerful as the evil Gas. Sadly, his new power does not prevent him from being badly injured, meaning that he can still become unavailable to fight if his wounds are severe.

Otherwise known as Kakarot, Goku is a Saiyan warrior that landed on Earth as a baby. After hitting his head and forgetting everything about his origin, this affable martial artist bowed to become the strongest warrior in the universe, always on the lookout for strong opponents that could help him test his abilities.

Throughout the years, Goku has proven that no limit can hold him down. He has grown so much that his power level has tapped into that of the Angels, giving himaccess to the Ultra Instinct. While he is in this state, Goku’s body moves on its own, leaving his mind to focus on the fight. Still, even with this amazing power, Goku has been defeated many times.

For decades, fans have been told that Gohan is the most promising fighter in the series. We saw this untapped potential for the first time during his fight against the villainous and destructive Cell. The young warrior then spent many years without training, leading many to believe that all the hype about his power was fake.

Gohan from Dragon Ball in his Beast form

Fortunately, Gohan managed to reveal his true strength during thelatest film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. In this movie, Goku’s son unlocked a new form, Gohan Beast, a transformation that overshadows any other we have seen before. According to Piccolo, this form is way more powerful than Goku or Vegeta. Yet, Gohan still has to get used to this form to use it correctly.

After being defeated and humiliated by Bardock, Gas became obsessed with the idea of completely erasing the Saiyan race from the universe. To accomplish his goal, he used the Planet Cereal Dragon Balls to become the most powerful warrior in the universe.

Gas from Dragon Ball transforming

His wish came true, transforming him into a true monster that overpowered Goku and Vegeta without any issues.

Unfortunately for Gas, his strength grew as he aged, meaning that the stronger he got, the older his body would become, meaning that he would die at any moment during his fight.

The evil galactic emperor Frieza is arguably the most iconic villain of the Dragon Ball franchise. He was the first enemy that forced Goku to push past his limits. Tragically, after that fight, Frieza was outperformed by the rest ofthe villains from the series. Nevertheless, the fearsome emperor had a comeback recently, proving what a bit of training can do for a talented fighter such as himself.

After training for a year in the room of Spirit and Time, Frieza acquired a new form called Frieza Black. By making use of this new power, Frieza managed to defeat Goku and Vegeta with a single punch. Still, his power is not comparable to that of the Gods, preventing him from being considered the most powerful warrior.

The Gods of Destruction are the guardians of order in their respective universes. As such, they are considered the strongest members of each universe (Except for Universe 11, where Jiren resides). While we are still not sure who the strongest God is among them all, Beerus has proven to be a force not to be reckoned with.

During the battle between Gods in the Dragon Ball Super manga, Beerus was one of two Gods to remain standing in the end, despite being attacked by many other deities simultaneously. Most other Gods also fear angering Beerus, afraid of what the cat-like creature could do to them. Nevertheless, Beerus himself is fearful of a handful of other characters stronger than him.

3The Angels

To keep the Gods of destruction in check, each of them was granted an Angel. These powerful and mysterious beings are tasked with maintaining the destruction caused by the Gods at a reasonable level, training the deities in martial arts, and assisting them with their needs.

Most of these obligations are met thanks to their special staff, which allows them to rewind time, create bubbles immune to any damage, speak with other beings, and even travel at speeds faster than light. The Angels are also always in Ultra Instinct state, making it easy for them to avoid damage. The Angels are incredibly powerful, but they are still aware that two beings surpass them in power.

2The Grand Priest

The Angels were not created alongside the multiverse of Dragon Ball. Each one of them was given life by their father, the Grand Priest. We know next to nothing about the power of this polite and regal deity, but according to Whis, he is several times more powerful than the Angels.

He is capable of stopping two Gods of Destruction fighting at full power with a single finger, a feat no other being appeared capable of achieving. The Grand Priest can also create matter, as seen when he created the Tournament of Power’s arena. Nonetheless, the Grand Priest responds to an even higher power, to whom he holds the utmost respect.

All the deities in the Dragon Ball multiverse bow in respect whenever they are in the presence of the Omni-King, the great Zeno. Despite his childish appearance and behavior, there isno being more powerful than him.

Not only is he aware of everything happening in the multiverse, but he can also erase anything and anyone. With a simple thought, Zeno can eliminate entire universes from existence. We have never seen this deity fight, but we can imagine that he is feared by all other Gods because of his strength.
