Dr. Stone, a Japanese animated TV show, is loved worldwide for its unique story, great visuals, and exciting characters. Based on Yuichiro Kido’s book, it has three seasons and a massive fan following.
On Wednesday, August 22, 2025, @WSJ_manga, a source for anime news on X (formerly Twitter), announced thatDr. StoneSeason 4 is officially confirmed.
The user claimed the information came from a comment by the manga’s author, Riichiro Inagaki, in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. However, other trustworthy sources haven’t confirmed it yet.
Just a day later, on December 21, the same user further asserted thatDr. StoneSeason 4 has started production and is confirmed as the final season of the series.

On Wednesday,@WSJ_mangashared more details from Inagaki about what fans can expect inDr. Stone‘s fourth season. The next day, Thursday, the user’s another post confirmed that the production of season 4 has started and also revealed that it will be the last season of Dr. Stone.

The leak also hinted that season 4 might be calledDr. Stone: Science Future, but fans are advised to be cautious since there’s no official confirmation yet.
