Alchemy is a neat mechanic that often gets overlooked by players new toDiablo 4. In addition toupgrading and increasing the capacity of your healing potions, you may also use the Alchemist to craft Elixirs and Incenses using plants like Gallowvine, Fiend Rose, and Angelbreath.

Out of all the plants found across Sanctuary,Fiend Rose and Angelbreath are the only ones classified as Rare Crafting Materials. Fiend Rose is especially difficult to find if you don’t know where to look as this plant only spawns during Helltides. Angelbreath is a bit more common, but don’t expect to run into it around every corner.

What Is Angelbreath?

Considering this is Diablo 4 we’re talking about, you’ll be excused for assuming that this plant is literally infused with the breath of an angel. Unfortunately, its true nature is significantly more mundane as Angelbreath is described as simply beinga rare strain of lily-of-the-vale. That doesn’t make it any less important, though.

Angelbreath is a rare ingredient needed to craft a wide variety of Elixirs, particularly those that increase the player’s damage against specific types of enemies. While some of these Elixirs aren’t all that useful, you definitely shouldn’t sleep on theElixir of Demon-Slayingor theElixir of Undead-Salying. Even more importantly, every type of Incense in Diablo 4 also requires Angelbreath. Thesepowerful consumablesgrant bonuses to all nearby players and are a must when tacklingWorld Bossesand other difficult encounters.

Where To Find Angelbreath

Despite being exceeding rare,Angelbreath can spawn pretty much everywhere. The good news is that, if you’re lucky enough, you may randomly stumble upon the plant while exploring any corner of Sanctuary. The bad news is thatDiablo 4 doesn’t have any special spots where you can farm Angelbreath. Like most things in this game, finding Angelbreath mostly boils down to luck, though a keen eye helps as well since the plant can be difficult to spot if you’re not paying close attention to your surroundings.

If you don’t enjoy the idea of roaming aimlessly around Sanctuary, there is an alternative way of obtaining Angelbreath. Many of the game’s side quests reward resource caches along with some amount of gold and experience. Some of these caches contain plantsand have a fairly high chance of dropping Angelbreath when opened. Side quests can get a bit boring after a while, but they happen to be one of the best ways of farming Angelbreath. Other caches and crates you encounter while exploring the game can also drop the sought-after plant, but they tend to be less reliable than herb caches.
