Destiny 2 also had a lot of exotic quests which involved these destinations. When these destinations were sunset, they could not be obtained, and their quests were scraped. These exotic weapons were added to the Monument of Lost Lights in the Tower, where players could earn them through in-game currency.

Anarchy is an arc-heavy grenade launcher that was initially available from the Scourge of the Pastraid, which has long been sunset. Anarchy used to be the king of DPS and ad-clear but was nerfed to the ground in Season of the Lost. However, thanks to the buff grenade launchers received with the launch of Lightfall, it has still become a viable option.

Anarchy

The exoticness of Anarchy comes from its exotic perk Arc Snare which allows the grenades to stick to the surface and chain arc bolts to other grenades allowing for damage over time while you use another weapon.

9Ticuu’s Divination

Ticuu’s Divination is a solar bow that was released as a seasonal exotic weapon in Season of the Chosen. Ticuu’s Divination is one of the best ad-clear weapons in the game, close to Trinity Ghoul (but might be better) because of how much damage it can output on a single target while also damaging other combatants in the area.

Ticuu’s Divination has the exotic perk Sacred Flame, which fires multiple tracking projectiles upon hip-firing. Targets marked by these projectiles explode upon death or, if you have the catalyst, perfectly drawn arrows while aiming down sights will also trigger the effect.

8Sleeper Simulant

Sleeper Simulant is a solar linear fusion rifle that was released in theWarmind expansion. Linear fusion rifles have been in the meta for the last year but due to their nerf with the launch of Lightfall have fallen in popularity. Sleeper Simulant is one of the linear fusion rifles that was not affected by the nerf.

Though its exoticness is ricochet rounds, Sleeper Simulant is a very hard-hitting linear fusion rifle capable of dealing a massive amount of damage. The catalyst of the sleeper is essential to this as it significantly reduces the charge time of this gun.

7Leviathan’s Breath

It has a built-in Unstoppable mod and also applies volatile rounds on every hit. It has the exotic perk Leviathan’s Sigh which, when you fully draw an arrow, staggers enemies and knocks them back while also dealing an incredible amount of damage.

6Outbreak Perfected

Outbreak Perfected is an exotic pulse rifle initially available from the Zero Hour mission. Outbreak Perfected is one of the few primary weapons that are capable of insane DPS on high-health targets thanks to its exotic perk and catalyst.

This exotic has an intrinsic exotic perk, The Corruption Spreads, which creates SIVA nanites on rapid hits and precision kills, and thanks to its second perk Parasitism, Outbreak Perfected deals more damage to enemies based on the number of SIVA nanites that are attached to them.

5Le Monarque

Le Monarque is a precision frame void bow that is a strong option for both PvE and PvP. In PvE, it can easily kill low-tier enemies even in endgame content likeGrandmaster Nightfallswhile also providing crowd control. In PvP, Le Monarque is extremely annoying and oppressive to play against with few options to counter it.

Le Monarque comes with the perk Snapshot Sights and the exotic trait Poison Arrows which states that “Arrows fired quickly after a full draw becomes poison arrows.” Le Monarque also has intrinsic Overload stunning capabilities.

4Ager’s Scepter

Ager’s Scepter is an exotic trace rifle that was released as a part of an exotic quest in Season of the Lost. Ager’s Scepter is a stasis trace rifle,\ arguably the best trace rifle in the game due to its ad-control capabilities and high damage. Ager Scepter is also the only trace rifle that is in the primary slot.

Its exoticness comes from its perk, Ager’s Call, which states that “Final blows with this weapon generate a slowing burst around targets.” Its second perk is Rega’s Refrain, which transfers ammo to the magazine from reserves on Stasis’ final blows. Combine these perks with a catalyst that significantly increases the damage of your gun at the cost of your super energy, and you got yourself one of the best stasis exotics in the game.

3Ace of Spades

Regarded by the community as the king of hand cannons, Ace of Spades is an adaptive frame hand cannon that has been the best in the game for a very long time even after it has been nerfed numerous times. It remains extremely strong in PvPand PvE.

Ace of Spades has the exotic perk Memento Mori which provides this weapon radar while aiming down sights and also provides a better version of Kill Clip, giving you a damage bonus for the next 6 shots when you reload after a kill. It also has a high range value making it one of the farthest-reaching hand cannons.

2Izanagi’s Burden

Izanagi’s Burden is an exotic kinetic sniper rifle that was released in season 5. Izanagi’s Burden was a strong DPS option before the Anarchy and linear fusion rifles meta and lost its popularity during these DPS metas. However, in Season of Defiance, it is once again a top-tier DPS option since the DPS meta right now revolves around rocket launchers.

Izanagi’s Burden is capable of doing some insane burst damage on a single target or a boss thanks to its exotic perk Honed Edge, which states “Consume the magazine and load a round with additional range and damage.” The damage of Honed Edge when you consume an entire mag is very high with the catalyst of Izanagi’s Burden further increasing the damage of Honed Edge.

1Witherhoard

Witherhoard is an exotic that has always been good in both PvP and PvE. Since it was released in Season of Arrivals as a seasonal exotic, it has always been a top-tier option in every game content. Witherhoard is a uniquegrenade launcherthat fires Taken Blights as projectiles.

Taken Blights can stick to an enemy or a surface for 4.5 seconds and cause damage over time for that time duration, allowing you the freedom to switch weapons and use another weapon. Witherhoard is just a better version of Anarchy thanks to it being in the kinetic slot and being a special ammo weapon. Overall, an extremely solid gun and arguably the best seasonal exotic that was ever released in Destiny 2.
