RELATED:Destiny 2: How To Obtain The Navigator & Exotic Catalyst
For any regular Destiny 2 player, completing this mission shouldn’t take more than a few hours, but the rewards are definitely worth spending the time, especially if you are looking to further enhance your Void build for any of the character classes.
Step 1: Acquire Mission From Ikora At The Tower
You can always find Ikora at the Bazaar in Tower. If you have already unlocked all Light subclasses, you will be able to acquire an Exotic mission for each one of them. The one for the Void subclass is called Into The Abyss. After adding the mission to your quests, you can proceed with the next step.
Step 2: Use Your Void Abilities
Now, it’s time to show off how good you are with your Void skills. This step will require you to complete three different tasks. First, you need toweaken a certain number of enemies. Then, you shouldkill 40 enemies with your Void powerssuch as grenades, melee, or Supers. Finally, you shouldcast your Superat least three times. As you may already guess, these tasks can be completed through any activity. Basically, if you have any easy activities like Nightfalls, Vanguard Ops, Gambit, or theseasonal activitiesthat still offer Pinnacle rewards, you can start playing them, which is simply killing two birds with one stone.
If you want to get these trackers completed quickly, you need to put as many Weakening Aspects, Fragments, Abilities, and Supers as you’re able to inside your Void build. Also, you are highly suggested to use these abilities on a mass amount of rack-and-fire enemies rather than focusing on the bosses or mini-bosses, because at the end of the day, the quantity matters for this quest. So, in order to make this easier for you, we have listed the best Void build to complete this step here.
Best Void Build To Weaken Enemies
Equipping theEcho of Underminingwill allow yourgrenades to weaken enemies. This step is usually much easier for Hunters as they can useSnare Bombto weaken enemies much faster.Hunter’s Superis also capable of weakening enemies, which is something you don’t see in the other subclasses.
On the other hand, if you equip theChild of the Old GodsAspect in Warlock anddeploy your Rift, your attacks on the enemies will start toweakenthem. This is an additional way of weakening enemies next to the Vortex Grenade.
Step 3: Complete Orrery Lost Sector On Nessus
Now that you have proved your Void skills, head toWatcher’s Grave landing zoneon Nessus and complete theOrrery Lost Sector. Track the mission to get the navigation markers on your screen. Turn back after spawning and follow the path until you find yourself deep inside a well with spiral stairs. You need to use the stairs toreach the top of the well.
Continue the path towardArtifact’s Edge, and you will be able to spot the Lost Sector’s signnext to the ramp-like surface. If you move to the right side of the Lost Sector’s sign, you can find the entrance inside a cave.

You are going to deal with an army of The Vex inside this Lost Sector. The final boss is Thyrdron, which has a teleport ability similar to most Vex enemies.
As such, using Grenade orRocket Launchersis a bad idea. Thebest power weaponto take the boss down isMachine Gun. For your other slots, you’re able to use anSMG, anAuto Rifle, or aTrace Rifle, all of which are quite powerful against the Vex boss. Keep in mind thattwo Nightmare Harpieswill also spawn next to the boss, once you get closer to it.
Step 4: Speak With Ikora At The Tower To Get Your Reward
While you are not done with the mission yet, you can head back to Tower to receive your Exotic armor after looting the chest in Orrery Lost Sector. The Exotic reward will be different based on your character class.
Step 5: Wear Your New Exotic Armor And Enable Void Subclass
It’s time to get ready for the final fight. Equip the Exotic armor that you have just obtained, and change your subclass to Void.
Step 6: Complete The Insight Terminus Strike On Nessus
As a three-player activity, you are going to face Cabal in this part of the mission. You are highly advised topick aGrenade Launcheras your Power weapon as the battlefield will be pretty chaotic in this strike. Both boss and mini-bosses phases will host many Cabal enemies running toward you from almost everywhere.
In the final boss area, you will need tostand inside three different platesand capture them todisable the boss' shield. This requires you to stay stationary, and as such, you will face enemies running at you from everywhere, which is why havinga powerful shotgunwith a higher Ready and Stow stat could be quite beneficial.
For the boss, we suggest you usea combination of a Grenade Launcher and a Trace Rifle. If you don’t have a solid Grenade Launcher, you can use aMachine Gunas well.
Step 7: Meet Banshee-44 At The Tower
After completing the Strike, you can head back to the Tower and collect the final reward from Banshee-44, which is a Positive Outlook Auto Rifle for all character classes.
