Now that Dave The Diver has acquired a huge fan base thanks to its sudden success, fans are eager to find out what’s next for Dave and his crew. Well, we sat down with Jaeho Hwang to ask him just that. The first thing that Hwang wanted to make very clear is that the team’s current goal is to improve the stability of the game and continue to release bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
“Our initial update plan is to add more content to the later part of the game,” Hwang said when asked about future content updates. “We are getting feedback that players want more side missions even in the late game, so we will add some more to keep the same vibe going.”
But it’s not just new side missions that Hwang wants to implement. “We are aware that players want to see nocturnal fish that only come out at night, so we will add more new fish for night diving as well,” Hwang revealed. As for potential DLC with larger pieces of content, Hwang was a little more hush-hush. “We do have plans for DLC with a larger volume of content, but we are currently focusing on making the current version more complete.”
Mint Rocket recently continued its string of hotfix updates with two fresh patches earlier this week. Both updates include bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, with the most notable being the release of automated quick-time events. Instead of having to button mash to catch fish, players can now enable the automatic QTE events in the game’s settings to automate the process. Full details on all of the game’s updates can be found on theDave The Diver Steam page.
