Guilty Gear: Striveis adding its first-ever guest character in 2025’s Season Pass 4, Lucy fromCyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The details of Season Pass 4 were initially leaked (thanks,IGN) ahead of the planned announcement at the ongoing Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2024. Following the leak, Arc System Works officially announced Season Pass 4.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners creator, Rafal Jaki, has written a manga that’s making its way to Shonen Jump Plus.
A brand-new game mode, Team of 3, is being added to Guilty Gear: Strive. This mode will allow three characters to be piloted by three different players on each team, and it enters open beta on July 25, so everyone can give it a try soon.

There are new colour swaps for characters and all-new stages. Dizzy and Venom are returning characters, both having originally appeared in Guilty Gear X. A new character is also on the way, Unika from the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, the first-ever anime adaptation of Guilty Gear
Finally, Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners marks the first time a guest character will appear in Guilty Gear: Strive. Lucy is the furthest away of the new characters, so we didn’t see much of her, but still, the announcement has excited Guilty Gear fans.

Lucy is a netrunner and one of the most central characters in Edgerunners. Lucy is a fan favourite character, making her a natural choice for inclusion. In a poll conducted onReddita year ago, Lucy was the second most popular character with 1,300 votes, finishing behind Rebecca who accumulated 1,500 votes.
Season Pass 4 is scheduled to begin on July 22, with the new content being gradually added to the game. It’s been just under a year since the release of Season Pass 3 (August 2023).

The Guilty Gear: Strive portion of EVO 2024 concluded with Shamar “Nitro” Hinds resetting the bracket from loser’s side and defeating his Japanese competitor, the runner-up Tatuma.
