Following the successful release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix,CD Projekt REDappears to be further expanding the Cyberpunk universe with a novel adaptation. The upcoming novel, titled Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence, is set in Night City and will release on August 8th, 2023.CD Projekt RED has announced that Orbit Books will publish Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence, which is being written by Rafal Kosik, a Polish illustrator and prose writer best known for his work on Felix, Net I Nika, Vertical, and Chamaleon. Kosik, a best-selling author among young people, also worked as a screenwriter on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

As stated in the novel’s description, No Coincidence follows the story of a group of strangers who have been blackmailed into participating in a heist that could lead to their deaths. The upcoming novel adaptation will contain 384 pages of illustrations and dialogue between the main protagonists. It, as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners did, attempts to introduce the other Night City residents whose stories fans know little about from the game.

Fans will see the beloved actor Keanu Reeves return to Night City as the main companion, Johnny Silverhand. Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence will hit bookshelves on August 8th, 2023.
