Then, of course, you’ve got your Smart weapons.

Cyberpunk 2077: Every Cyberdeck, Ranked

Cyberdecks underwent massive changes in update 2.0. Here’s how they all stack up in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077.

Smart weapons are pretty unique in that they don’t require manual aiming. These weapons have an advanced targeting system that automatically locks onto enemies and guarantees that you will always hit your target. You do need to incorporate specificCyberware implantscalledSmart Linksin order to make the most out of them, but there are no other drawbacks to using Smart weapons over other types of weapons. That goes double if you’re wielding the amazing Smart weapons featured on this list.

Updated by Nathan Round on July 25, 2025:We have updated this list to include additional Smart weapons like Skippy, Pizdets, and the Crimestopper - along with updating this list’s formatting to keep it in line with the formatting standards here at DualShockers.

Cyberpunk 2077

A Gimicky Yet Unpredictable Smart Pistol

Attack Speed

Reload Speed

Effective Range

Weapon Handling

Magazine Capacity

Headshot Damage Multiplier

Skippyis the Iconic variant of the Arasak HJKE-11 Yukimura, but is in no way a reliable gun. When first picking up Skippy, players can choose between having the weapontarget enemy limbs(Puppy-Loving Pacifist) ortarget enemy heads(Stone Cold Killer). Judging by which mode you pick, it can alter how well this weapon performs. However, the mode will change to the opposite permanently after receiving 50 kills or incapacitations - along with the decisions you make during dialogue with Skippy.

Though Skippy has adamage output higherthan other Pistols on this list, along with adecent level of effective range, Skippy is more of a gimmicky weapon that can prove to be quite unpredictable. This weapon quite literally has a mind of its own, and may oftenfire when unprompted,or purposefullymake your shots miss enemies. Both of these behaviors can seriously mess up stealth play, along with making firefights rather unbearable at times.

Cyberpunk 2077 Skippy Smartgun

An Obsolete SMG With Low Magazine Capacity

Pizdets, just like the Chesapeake, is an Iconic variant of the HA-7 Warden. Out of the two weapons, Pizdets does have a much better effective damage range, along with a greater headshot damage multiplier. This weapon alsocomes with an integrated suppressor, making it great for stealth play. But, the greatest benefit of Pizdets is its ability to have ahighercritical hit chance the longer it is fired.

Despite the aforementioned benefits, Pizdets does fall behind the Chesapeake in virtually every other stat category. Pizdets has alow-magazine sizewhich, paired with the weapon’s ability to increase its fire rate whilst firing, will lead to you having toreload fairly often. The attack speed and damage rate of Pizdets is also quite low in comparison to the latter option, making itrather obsolete.

12Prototype: Shingen Mark V

Higher-Than-Average Chance To Cause Burn

Prototype: Shingen Mark Vis a Smart Submachine Gun that fires explosive projectiles in three-round bursts. All in all, the stats of this weapon are fairly underwhelming all things considered, but the SMG still performs admirably in combat thanks to its reliability, good handling, andfast lock-on time. Attack speed isn’t too shabby either, though the Prototype: Shingen Mark V can’t quite hold a candle to many other Smart weapons in that department.

The Prototype: Shingen Mark V doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles, but it does come with a unique passive effect that allows it tofire explosive roundsthat have a30% Burn chance. Generally speaking, elemental damage effects like this only occur 20% of the time, so expect that extra 10% chance to add a significant amount ofextra DPS over time. Having said that, the Prototype: Shingen Mark V can only be considered a decent Smart weapon when compared to some of the other weapons on this list.

11Genjiroh

Fast Lock-On Pistol With Two Firing Modes

TheGenjirohis a Smart Pistol that offers both full-auto and burst-fire modes. You probably won’t use full-auto all that often since it only works when firing from the hip, but it’s nice to have the option regardless. This Pistol has alock-on time of only one secondand comes with a+85% headshot damage multiplier, which may not sound like much compared to other weapons in the game, but it’s better than most of the guns on this list.

The burst-fire mode is where the Genjiroh truly shines. The Pistol fires four rounds with each burst and has a20% chance to apply Shockwith every projectile fired. The proc chance isn’t amazing, but it’s pretty standard compared to most of the otherIconic weaponsin Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to that, Genjiroh’s unique passive effect also gives it alarger magazine size and increased projectile speed. It’s a pretty basic effect, all things considered, but it’s enough to get the job done.

10Chesapeake

Very Good Damage For An SMG

TheChesapeakemay look like a slightly worse version of the Prototype: Shingen Mark V, but that’s actually not the case. While most of its stats are indeed worse, this Smart SMG inflicts almost twice as much damage. Perhaps even more importantly, the Chesapeake is a fully automatic SMG with alarger magazine size, armor penetration, and ashorter lock-on time. The lock-on time is easily one of the weapon’s biggest selling points.

Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get The Moron Labe Assault Rifle

Prepare for absolute carnage if you’re planning to use the Moron Labe as your main weapon in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Chesapeake comes with a unique effect thatincreases its fire ratewith each consecutive shot, whilst also giving the userincreased movement speed. Moreover, as soon as you start zipping around the battlefield like a bat out of hell, you’ll also start dealing more damage. Some of these buffs are hidden until you’re in the thick of combat. This is one of these situations where simply looking at the stats sheet doesn’t give you a full picture of what the weapon is capable of.

9Crimestopper

Great Pistol With High Range & Weapon Handling

Crimestopperis an Iconic version of the Tsunami Kappa, and is not a bad Pistol by any means. This weapon is best compared to the Kappa X-MOD2, sporting afaster reload speed, better effective range, andgreater weapon handling. Though the Crimestopper does fall behind in damage along with a smaller magazine, it is still a decent contender between the two in both regards.

The main appeal of the Crimestopper is its ability to onlylock onto one additional target whilst aiming- which is one more target than most other weapons. Pair this with the weapon’s ability to have anincreased chance to disable cyber-limbs,immobilize the enemy, andincrease critical damage, and you have a solid handgun for tactical play. Unfortunately, though, the Crimestopper doesn’t quite hold up to other weapons in terms of damage.

8Kappa X-MOD2

Special Variant Smart Pistol With Modding Capabilities

TheKappa X-MOD2is a special variant of the Crimestopper, which is a very good Smart pistol in its own right. On paper, this variant doesn’t look that much better than the original. In fact, the weapon is worse in some ways. The Kappa X-MOD2 deals a tiny bitmore damagebut loses out to the Crimestopper when it comes to all the other stats. Not only that, but the Kappa X-MOD2 doesn’t come with a passive effect either. However, the weapon has one big advantage over the Crimestopper –customization.

The reason why customization is such a big deal is because this is a feature available to very few Smart weapons. In fact, there’s only one other weapon on this list capable of supporting mods. Attaching a couple of good Tier 5 mods on the weapon will make it significantly morepowerful and versatile. A lot of Iconic weapons are one-trick ponies, but a weapon like the Kappa X-MOD can be customized to fit specific builds and situations.

Best Smart Pistol In The Game With Tons Of DPS

TheOgouis an unassuming Smart Pistol that proves that sometimes the best things come in small packages. Much like the Cricket from Men in Black, the Ogou deals atremendous amount of damagedespite its small size. Furthermore, this is an automatic Pistol that comes with a+50% crit damage modifier, so keep that finger on the trigger and watch as all your enemies explode into a thousand little pieces.

The main reason why the Ogou deals such a high amount of damage for a Pistol is because it fires in bursts of two. Not just that, but the projectiles explode on impact and have ahigh chance of dismembering enemies. Every time you dismember an enemy using this Smart Pistol, itscritical chance goes up,and the weapon gets anincreased chance to apply Bleeding. The only thing that drags the Ogou down a couple of notches is its slow attack speed, along with it’s low ammo count.

6Rostović DB-4 Palica

High Damage Close Range Shotgun

TheRostović DB-4 Palicais essentially a smart variant of the DB-4 Igla. Unlike other weapons on this list, Rostović DB-4 Palica does not come in Iconic rarity, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad gun by any means. The Rostović DB-4 Palica dishes outimmense damage with each shot, but falls behind the Ba Xing Chong rather considerably.

The main redeeming quality of the Rostović DB-4 Palica is the ability toincrease its potential damage with its intrinsic modifier- though this is at the expense of accuracy. However, despite this obvious benefit, the Ba Xing Chong is much better in pretty much every other stat category. The headshot damage multiplier of the Rostović DB-4 Palica also quite low, further putting it behind the latter option.

5Hercules 3AX

Smart/Power Weapon That Doesn’t Require Specialized Cyberware

TheHercules 3AXis not like the other weapons on this list. While technically a Smart weapon, the Hercules 3AX behaves just like a Power Assault Rifle when fired from the hip and has ahigh magazine capacity. You won’t necessarily feel the need to switch to ADS while using this weapon, but if you decide to do it anyway, you’ll quickly find out that this is indeed a Smart weapon and comes with a targeting system just like all the others.

Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get The Pozhar X-Mod2 Power Shotgun

Get ready to crash a party in the small hours of the night to get your hands on the Pozhar X-Mod2.

Another unique feature of the Hercules 3AX is the fact that itdoesn’t require a Smart Link. Moreover, the projectiles fired by this weapon have a20% chance to Poison enemies, causing them to explode into a pool of acid upon death. This weapon has a lot going on for itself, but it’s not quite as powerful as other Assault Rifles. The curved trajectory of its projectiles can also be a throw off for some players, as it takes a while to get used to. Certainly not a bad weapon, but there are better options out there.
