But this time, it’s not about Downey Jr., it’sAvengers: Endgameactor Paul Bettany, who confirmed his MCU return.

According to recent reports from the actor, he is not done yet, with his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Known for playing the role of Vision, the character was last seen in the 2021 seriesWandaVision. Now, although there are no other projects in development for Paul Bettany, he confirmed during a panel at MegaCon 2024, that he is definitely returning as Vision, in further MCU projects.

But surprisingly, on a recent note, theAvengers: Endgameactor noted that he will be returning to the MCU in some capacity moving forward. Shocking fans with his declaration, Bettany offered hope to his fans about witnessing one of the Avengers returning to the MCU. Although there are no other projects in development for Bettany, the actor confirmed that he is making a comeback.

During MegaCon 2024 viaThe Direct, Paul Bettany, who previously played the role of Vision in Marvel Cinematic Universe, confirmed his return with further Marvel projects. The declaration came in response to a fan asking about the possibility of Vision’s return to the franchise. That’s when Bettany responded that there’s a 100% chance he will return.
“In any way, shape, or form, will Vision return? Or are you going to return to the MCU?”

“[After a long pause] Well, yeah… I mean, why wouldn’t I? Yes, 100%.” Bettany replied.

Thereafter, sending shockwaves through the crowd and exciting fans seated at MegaCon 2024, Paul Bettany went on to discuss his MCU character. Answering a fan about how he went on to portray Vision’s “humanity”, Bettany offered an insightful response about his Avengers character.
“What was it like to play a robot or android with a type of soul? How did you capture his humanity?”

“No idea. Well, I do have one idea. My plan was that he’s sort of an omnipotent ingénue when he’s born. And then as he gets more and more sophisticated with the amount of data that he’s receiving, he becomes more human.” Bettany shared.
Witnessing his conversation about his character with fans, it seems theAvengers: Endgameactor was indeed serious about his return. Therefore, with direct confirmation from Paul Bettany himself, we believe there’s hope for fans to find Vision, once again, on screen.
