Blizzardwanted to make sure people had time to reach the game’s level cap of 60 without having to rush through the leveling experience. These new classic servers launched on November 21st, which means players have had three weeks to level up and be ready for endgame content. That’s a stark contrast from the original release of Classic WoW servers, where Molten Core was available immediately.

Blizzard Has Made Changes for the Classic WoW Anniversary Servers
In 2019, Blizzard maintained a “no changes” philosophy regarding updating the Classic WoW experience. That hasn’t been the case with the anniversary realms. From day one, the following features were made available:
World Of Warcraft Dev Says It’s “Our Duty” To Evolve Azeroth And Meet Players’ Needs
The game director for World of Warcraft’s The War Within expansion said the last few development years have been a “reexamination” period.
After launch, Blizzard released the Dual Spec feature, allowing players to switch between two class specs without paying for a respec between roles. This allows tanks or healers to have a DPS spec ready to go, and it was a much-requested feature when Classic WoW launched.

Players wondered if we’d see a change in the raid size for Molten Core, akin to Season of Discovery. That’s not the case, as these Classic WoW Anniversary raids will maintain their original 40-person sizes.
