Not long after your initial moments inClair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll soon come across the Gestral Village in Act 1, where you need to talk and consult with the Chieftain.
However, just a bit north up the hill from the Arena and the Chieftain’s house in this same area, you’ll find a Gestral Worker standing curiously against an eerily familiar door.And familiar is right; it’s one of The Manor’s doors you saw when werescued Maelle in the Flying Waters level.

This door leads to the Manor’s Kitchen area, which has a puzzle you’re able to solve to access some hidden loot if you look carefully enough. My guide includes the exact solution to this puzzle, so join me as wesolve the Manor Kitchen puzzle inClair Obscur: Expedition 33.
How To Find The Manor Kitchen Door
To give you some detailed information about the location, the Manor door to the kitchen is in the actual Gestral Village itself. It’s in the north, way up the path from the Arena.
The Manor Kitchen door is in a secluded section of the area near a small stage with mini gestrals marked by a “Turn Back” sign, showcased in the images above for reference.
Talk to the Gestral Worker here, who claims the door is a sacred place, but since we’ve seen these ominous-looking doors before, we’re happy to try our shot since it doesn’t open for some reason to the Gestrals in the village.
After talking to the worker, interact with the door and enter it to be teleported back to the Manor, but this time, you’ll be in the Kitchen, one of the few previously inaccessible rooms, as you’ll soon find out when solving the puzzle.

How To Solve The Manor Kitchen Puzzle
There’s essentially a hidden panel in the room you can exit, but first, you’ll need to activate three distinctive switches hidden in the kitchen’s environment.
It’s annoying to find these independently, but thankfully, I’ve detailed each one below for your convenience and showcased them in the images above.
Successfully activating all three environmental switches will reveal a secret on the floor. The hatch is hidden behind a couple of boxes and barrels; you can smash through to see it, as shown in the image above.
In the first room below the hatch, there’s a slightly eerie and creepy dead Gestral with a slice of cake on its belly…moving on, in the next room with the stairs, you can grab a Shape of Energy item hidden in the crate.
Destroy the crates and boxes to reveal another crawlspaceclearing in the wall that you can enter.Before you go up the stairs, grab theRebellious Hairstyle for Maellehere via the red item in the crate.
To avoid spoiling anything, the locked doors here will be revealed later in the story or once you find the other secret Manor doors in the world.
That’s it for now. The stairs lead to another room with a locked door, but there’s nothing significant hereother than a painting of theSandfall Interactive development team, which is an incredible Easter egg.
To exit, go back through the crawlspace and up the previous set of stairs with the Shape of Energy we collected; these will lead back to the kitchen. From there, exit the kitchen itself, and you’ll be back in the Manor’s main lobby with the checkpoint flag.
Exit the manor from the main entrance, and you’ll be back in the Gestral village, ready to continue your adventure with the Expedition 33 crew until you find more manor doors.
