Aki Hayakawa’spersonality easily reflects that he’s a man who’s bad to the bone and possesses unbelievable powers. But, we haven’t been introduced to his powers inChainsaw Mananime until episode 4, where we see him saving Denji from the Leech Devil by summoning the Fox Devil. Aki’s one move makes the devil bite the dust in no time.

However, Aki is only powerful because of the devil contracts he has made. Without them, he is just like other humans who feel helpless when the devils bother them. Aki has made many contracts with several devils, but the strongest one is the Fox Devil, which we saw in the trailer of Chainsaw Man and episode 4 of the series.

Introduction To Fox Devil
As the name suggests, Fox Devil is a devil with a fear of foxes, which made its manga debut in chapter 10. The Fox Devil looks frightening from its looks. It has a giant appearance with multiple red-colored eyes with white spirals, long ears, and strong jaws. Chainsaw Man manga has finished more than 100 chapters, and we are yet to see the full appearance of the Fox Devil.
Unlike most devils who have a hostile nature towards humans, Fox Devil is friendly. After killing the Leech Devil, the Fox Devil asks for Aki’s permission to swallow it, which shows its bonding with Aki. It doesn’t even hesitate to kill other devils. In order to have a contract with the Fox Devil, one needs to look attractive, as it only allows its abilities to the good-looking people.
Powers And Abilities
To summon the Fox Devil, one needs to make a special sign with their hand and say the word “Kon.” While the devil has no problem attacking humans and devils, it resists working against hybrids due to the bad taste of their blood. But to come into contract with the Fox Devil and use its abilities, one needs to pay the price, which is feeding it their body parts. For instance, in episode 4, Aki summons the Fox Devil, and in return, it takes some part of the flesh from his hand.
Being a devil that embodies the fear of foxes, the Fox Devil, when summoned, bites off its enemy or tears its body apart in an instant by appearing from anywhere. Along with strong jaws, it also has large-sized claws, which can easily tear apart enemies. Its healing abilities are also marvelous. By consuming blood, Fox Devil can restore to full health in no time.
Fox Devil’s Future In Chainsaw Man
When it comes to killing devils, Aki never backs down. In one such fight against Katana Man, Aki summons the Fox Devil, who swallows Katana Man, but the latter easily gets out of its mouth by slashing it. Fox Devil doesn’t like the fact that Aki made him swallow Katana Man as it was a hybrid, thus having bad taste. Later, when Aki tries to summon it again, Fox Devil doesn’t reappear, ending their contract.
Until now, we have seen Fox Devil in several arcs, including Bat Devil Arc, Eternity Devil Arc, Katana Devil Arc, Bomb Devil Arc, and International Assassins Arc. Fox Devil made contracts with severalDevil Hunters, which include Aki Hayakawa, Nomo, Nakamura, Hirokazu Arai, and others.
