One such mystery was the death of the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju. Hashirama was one of the most significant characters inNaruto, but fans never found out how he died in the first place.
His role as the God of Shinobi and the founder of Konoha village proved that he was incredibly powerful, and it was next to impossible for any other character to kill him. Thus, it would not make sense for him to die from poisoning orthe depletion of chakra.
Also, he could not be killed in a one-on-one battle, as his only rival in the entireNarutoworld was Madara Uchiha, who was pronounced dead at the time.
Thus, the only way his death can be defined is through cancer that affected a particular part of his body and ultimately led to his death inNaruto.
