Bloodborneis one of the most stellar games released by Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team at FromSoftware. However, with the studio recently, releasing theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC forElden Ring, Miyazaki had publicly confirmed that they are going to move away from the Soulslike genre and explore new horizons.

So, fans were eagerly waiting for official news and updates. On 1st April 2024,Bloodbornerumors reared their head again as a user took to X to post some ‘leaks’. With fans confused whether it was an April Fool’s joke, the post got quite a bit of traction.

A user on X, @Silknigth, posted an update stating that a new project that can either be a remake or a sequel ofBloodborneis coming. In the short post, they mention that the “wait will be worth it” suggesting that it is on its way.

With over 59k views, the post went viral quickly as fans of the Soulslike games hungrily searched for any more information regarding the so-called ‘Project Beast’. However, not all fans were convinced with a large section of them quite convinced that it is an April Fools prank.

But when asked whether it was indeed a prank, the author of the post replied in negative. Although that did little to assuage the doubts of fans. Comments like “Guys its first April don’t trust anyone” and “april fools not funny‘ did the rounds in the comment section. But, despite the obvious chance of it being fake, a surprisingly large number of fans looked for more info showcasing the insane popularity of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s game.

Fans kept asking questions in the comment section although the author refused to clarify any further, making their claims even more questionable. One user however pointed out something really pertinent, “Wasn’t Project Beast the codename for Bloodborne?“
