This fluffy beast won’t go down without a fight!

However, if you go in prepared and learn his moveset, it won’t be long before you beat Guangmou and get one step closer to reviving the Monkey King. Here’s how to take down this snake charmer.

Where Is Guangmou In Black Myth: Wukong

Guangmou is found in the Bamboo Grove. You will need to travelfrom the Back Hills through to the Snake Trail checkpoint. Then, you will need to complete the boss run to Guangmou.

As far as boss runs go, this one isn’t all that taxing. You will need to take on a couple of Poison Lizard enemies and a few skeletal lizards, but these can be largely avoided if you want to make a beeline for the boss.

Through the open forest area, you will find a staircase on the right that will lead you up to Guangmou’s arena, and the fight will begin when you enter.

How To Prepare For Guangmou

Aside from what you will have already done to prepare for the Lingxuzi fight, there aren’t a lot of extra precautions you may take ahead of the Guangmou fight.

But just in case you haven’t upgraded your gear and skills ahead of time, here is what I would suggest prioritizing for this fight:

How To Beat Guangmou

As we mentioned, Guangmou is a very different prospect when compared to Lingxuzi and any other enemy you have faced thus far,as they don’t rely on physical attacks to deal most of their damage.

The battle will begin with Guangmoucasting a blue fireball attack, which can be avoided if you dodge towards them to sneak under the projectiles, which will also allow you to get a few early hits in.

After this, it’s best to use your immobilization spell and get a few additional hits in, and if you get this opening period right, you should have their health down by 25% in mere seconds.

At this point, Guangmou will likely use the ace up his sleeve andcall upon his army of snakes. These will rise from the ground and shoot poison projectiles that deal damage on impact and raise your poison status.

Sometimes, the boss battle isn’t the thing we dread most

While there is a temptation to attack Guangmou during this period, it’s best to lock off from him and spam dodges to evade the flurry of projectiles. attempt to keep your eyes on as many snakes as possible at once and evade the venom attacks.

This is easily the most dangerous attack in Guangmou’s arsenal, but they also have some other dangerous moves. For example, their leaf attack casts a blue projectile that tracks the player and expels a gust of leaves. This is easily avoided by staying on the move while it is active.

Then Guangmou also has access to a poison breath attack, which can rapidly cause poison build-up if you are directly in front of him. However, if you get behind them as they use this move, you’ll be safe from harm and able to counterattack in relative safety.

This is all Guangmou really has in his locker and he will cycle through these moves until you beat him. The only other additional tip I would offer is totry and stay on the offensive during this fight anytime the snakes aren’t in play, as Guangmou will teleport away often, and they are more dangerous at distance, so be sure to close the gap.

Rewards For Defeating Guangmou

If you manage to defeat Guangmou, you will gain the following rewards for your efforts:

The standout reward among these itemsis the new ability to channel the Spirit of Guangmou, which will allow players to call upon an army of snakes to cast venom attacks at fies, just as Guangmou did to you.

After defeating Guangmou, players can head up the hill, ring the bell, and proceed to their next destination inBlack Myth: Wukong, The Marsh of White Mist.
