DC finally premiered the first trailer for the upcomingBatman: Gotham Knightstitle. The latestBatmantitle has been teased for quite some time, including earlier this week but now we’re getting a hard look at both the plot and gameplay.
The trailer reveals that Bruce Wayne, or Batman as we truly know him as, has been caught in an explosion and died. A special message for the Bat Family confirms this, as well as the destruction of the Bat Cave. He also instructs them that Gotham will need them more than ever to watch over it and its citizens.
After that we see Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin as they suit up and demonstrate their unique abilities and skills in combat. In the final moments we see more of the Court of Owls plotlinethat was previously teasedand it looks fantastic. Check out the world premiere trailer below:
You can also check out this official gameplay walkthrough fromIGNin which it demonstrates the co-op gameplay as Batgirl and Robin take on Mister Freeze. The combat and exploration look very impressive on its own and it seems to integrate RPG elements:
