Larian is planning to have a stress-test for the patch, and you canregister for it now- but obviously, it hasn’t quite happened yet. The access thatPS5players have been given has come a little early, and as can be easily guessed, Larian Studios is having a rough Monday.
“While we work with our partners to understand what’s going on, please note that any new saves made while on Patch 8 will not be compatible with Patch 7”
Players are warned against starting a new run of the game on an unreleased patch as Larian works for figure out what in the world is going on.
Current speculation as to the source of the “leaked” update points tosomewhere inside Sony themselves. While unconfirmed, the theory would explain why things are unfolding the way they are.
Someone, somewhere insideSony, got a date mixed up, or confused their Patch 8 stress-test preparations for the real deal. It’s certainly a plausible theory, but Larian’s own investigation may turn up different findings.
