Karlach Companion Overview
Karlach is the Zariel Tiefling Barbarian companion that you can meet on your journey.She is one of the best companionsand always tries to see the positive in the world even though she has a backstory that is filled with tragedy. She was once a soldier who was forced to fight, meaning she is always looking out for those who are less fortunate and facing oppression. She has a strong sense of desire to help others, making her one of the better companions for someone playing a good character.You will first encounter Karlacharound the Risen Road (located between the Druid’s Grove and the Blighted Village in Act 1). There, she tells you she is being hunted by Paladins and needs your help to get rid of them.
If you have met Wyll (or even have him in your party), you will quickly learn she is the one that he is hunting as well. If you protect her from the Paladins and from Wyll, she will join your camp. From there,you can romance herif you’re interested. To do that, you want to make sure that you are sticking up for the little guy. She is always wanting to protect those who are vulnerable. Doing this will truly win her heart.
Best Subclass For Karlach
The best Subclass for Karlach is the Berserker Barbarian Subclass. This Subclass is an extremely powerful dps Subclass that will do tons of damage. The other Subclasses (Wildheart and Wild Magic) are extremely useful, but they won’t do as much pure damage as the Berserker Subclass. The best Skills to put her Proficiencies in are probably the Survival Skill and the Atheltics Skill. Both of these Skills will help her make the most of her Barbarian Class. For her Abilities, you will want to do the following.
You want to focus more on the Strength and Constitution Abilities. This is because Strength will increase Karlach’s damage and Constitution will increase her HP. This can make her an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

Best Level Progression For Karlach
As you level, you will unlock new features to add to your lineup of attacks. Thankfully, as a Berserker Barbarian, there isn’t much you have to do.
