A co-op mode is also said to be planned for release in 2026.
The update is 19 GB on Xbox, 17 GB on PC, 9 GB on Mac, 8.5 GB on Steam, and 6.27 GB on PS5. One of the many things being added in the patch is the next of thespecial collaborations teased on the roadmap, this time with Critical Role.

New Collab, New Difficulty Setting
Critical RolejoinsDead by Daylightand Balatro collab contentadded in the previous patchwith a new story pack, called “A Critical Encounter.”
By completing the questline, given by Robbie Daymond’s Rufino, players can unlock a new ally, an achievement, and a hideout banner featuring the Critical Role logo.

Players will also be able to purchase Critical Role-inspired weapons, with two each for both Naoe and Yasuke.
Along with the new collab content, update 1.0.6 will add the new Nightmare difficulty setting, just in case players didn’t find the original difficulty settings rewarding enough, which will affect both combat and stealth.

Some gameplay changes for Nightmare mode listed by Ubisoft include less effective defensive options, with dodges and parries no longer leaving enemies open to attack, tighter timing on parries, improved enemy AI, and crouching and shadows no longer fully preventing detection while moving.

Pure Arts employees confirm that something is going on with the franchise.
The update also extends the alert system to the open world, so if players repeatedly attack civilians or military units, even outside a Castle, the alarm can be triggered, prompting a group of Guardians to hunt the player down.

There are also new cinematic camera presets while riding horses, the ability to toggle between hiding and showing headgear in cutscenes, toggles for specific visual effects in the settings menu, and new Ultra Low settings for lower-end PCs, along with various bug fixes.
The collaborations are coming fast and hard for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, with the game gaining three of them in the space of two updates, and this is still all free content. The game is set to receiveits first large-scale paid DLC, Claws of Awaji, in September.
