How to Complete the Belly of the Beast Quest

At the start of the Belly of the Beast main quest, players need to report to Ise Sadaoki in Yamashiro. Luckily, the game creates a waypoint for you, so there’sno need to use any Scouts to find your destination.

Make your way to Sadaoki’s waypoint and speak to him (he can be found on a dock on the water). Naoe explains the situation and how Mitsuhide sent her to speak with him, which he doesn’t seem to really care about.

Ubisoft Responds To Assassin’s Creed Shadows Leaks, Players Should “Stay In The Shadows”

Ubisoft isn’t too happy about this whole thing, and their advice to players is simple.

There is onedialogue sequence to interact with, where you can either answer “I have offended you” or “I will show you my skills.” I selected the option to “show my skill,” sinceI’m roleplaying a confident and fearlessNaoe, but feel free to select whichever you please.

Either way, Sadaoki is incredibly rude to Naoe and demands her to get important papers in Kyoto, to which she agrees. This brings us to our next objective, “Retrieve the Papers.”

Retrieving the Papers

Unlike the previous objective, the game doesn’t provide a waypoint for the exact location of the papers. Instead, players have to find it themselves.

The clues for the location of the papers are as follows:They are in Yamashiro, at the center of Kyoto, and are west of Nanban Temple. Feel free to try to locate them yourself, but we have their exact location in the attached image above.

Once you reach the waypoint of the paper’s location, which is inside a small fortress, you’ll notice they areinside a building on the west side. Make sure touse Observe to easily spot the small blue dot, representing the paper’s location.

Keep in mind that this place has a handful of soldiers, soyou want to go in quietly. The best way to go about this is toclimb on top of the outer walls on the western sideanduseKunaito kill enemies from afar. Personally, I only had to kill three enemies in total for me to get the papers unseen.

After entering the building, you’ll instantly notice that one soldier is guarding the papers. Either sneak up behind him andassassinate him, or use Kunai to take him down.

Next, grab the papers, flee the area, and return to Ido Sadoaki to give him the papers. After a short cutscene, the next main quest, “Temple of the Horseman,” begins.
