A brand newApex Legendsupdate has been deployed for all supported platforms today (October 20), and will finally fix the annoying crashing issue occurring for players using certain banners.
Unfortunately, no new content arrives in today’s update, but players still have time to jump into the ‘Monsters Within’ Event before it comes to a close on November 2nd.
There’s also plenty to look forward to in the world ofApex Legends, as Season 11: Escape is set to kick off in just a few short weeks. The latest ‘Stories from The Outlands’ episode gave us our first look at the upcoming Legend Ash, whilst new leaks have revealed the first image of the upcoming Tropical Island Map.

Apex LegendsBanner Crash Fix
Today’s update reportedly included a fix for the banner crashing issue that has been ruining the game for some weeks now.Respawn Entertainmentwas made aware of the issue and responded by including an announcement message in-game, warning players not to equip animated epic poses whilst they work on a fix.
In a recent Reddit post, anApex LegendsTechnical Designer responded to the crashing issue stating that “[Respawn Entertainment] thought they fixed the root of the issue in 10.1.1 when [they] last released a client patch”. Unfortunately, the issue was still causing some players to be kicked from games depending on the type of banner they had equipped.
The developers went on to apologize for the delay in releasing a fix but informed fans that it took them a long time to actually identify the root cause of the issue.
Hopefully, today’s new update completely rids of the frustrating bug and allows us all to play with whichever banner we like. Make sure to check out the full patch notes below for more details.
