Zack Snyder’sRebel MoonAllegedly Debuts to Poor Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Firewas released in select theaters on July 24, 2025, ahead of a wider digital release on Netflix. However, with the movie’s debut came a string of bad reviews, which resulted in a low critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the poor reviews, fans were optimistic about the end product and expected the audience score to demonstrate praise and appreciation for directorZack Snyder.
Rebel Mooncurrently sits at an audience score of 76% from over 250 ratings. Fans were expecting the audience score to be in the higher 90s, but the poor audience score has sparked a debate among fans about the viability of these reviews. Some fans have called out the declining audience score to be a result of the alleged review bombing, which also affected the overall rating. The film debuted with a meager 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but has since improved to 24%.

Rebel MoonSuffers From Anti-Zack Snyder Propaganda
Rebel Moon’sreviews have sparked a fan war, with a section of the audience suggesting that anti-Zack Snyder propaganda is being circulated to impact the film negatively. While the critics’ rating is certainly lower than expected, the audience score is a bit more respectable, especially since the movie is only accessible to a few viewers.
you may’t trust the critic score or the audience score when it comes to Zack Snyder movies. Critics tend to hate him and the cult side of his fandom review bomb everything. It’s ridiculous. I can’t wait to see the movie for myself.

In comparison, Synder’s most recent Netflix original film,Army of the Dead, and one of his most-liked films,Man of Steel, also have an audience score in the mid-70s. Meanwhile,Sucker Punch, which is considered Snyder’s weakest film, has an audience score of merely 47%.

Despite the anti-Snyder propaganda suggestingRebel Moonis one of Snyder’s worst films because the audience dislikes the movie, it does not tell the entire story. Thus, the suggestion that those who dislike Synder are leaving a negative rating for the film without watching it holds some water.
Furthermore, Netflix has planned to turn the first installmentinto a sprawling media franchise. The first movie will be followed by a sequel titledRebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, which is expected to release in April 2024. A third installment is reportedly also in development.
