Animal Crossing: New Horizons2.0 will be here in just a few days, and it’ll introduce 16 new villagers to befriend.
Say hello to 16 additional villagers inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons' 2.0 update!

The November update is set to be a massive one, bringing 16 characters intoNew Horizonsfor the first time. Eight are returning from previousAnimal Crossinggames while eight will be brand new.
Thefull Nintendo Directshowcased a few of the new villagers, but how can you get them? Read below to find the best ways to invite them to your island!
HOW TO GET THE NEWANIMAL CROSSINGVILLAGERS
Since Nintendo is just adding the 16 villagers to the overall pool of characters, you can invite them to your island the exact same way you’d invite any other villager.
If you’ve restarted your island like many others, there’s always a chance you could luck out and they’ll be one of your starter villagers. Though, chances are fairly slim, given that there are nowover 400 villagers inNew Horizons.
Otherwise, if you are far enough into the game, you’re able to open up an empty housing plot for them. You can leave it up to pure chance again and wait for a new villager to randomly move in, or you can go the more common route - villager hunting.
Using Nook Miles tickets, you can travel to various islands in search of the exact new villager you’d like. Once you find them, you can talk to them and invite them to move onto your island. You’ll most likely have to have a hefty number of Nook Miles tickets, but it’s a pretty reliable way of finding your favorite villagers.
The 16 additional villagers can also randomly appear at your campsite once you’ve unlocked it. Just like any other campsite villager, you can talk to the visitor and convince them to move in as well.

OTHER WAYS OF FINDING YOUR FAVORITES
Additionally, if anAnimal Crossingfriend manages to get one of the new villagers, you can adopt them when they move out. Once they have their home in boxes, you can talk to the villager and invite them to move onto your island instead. This, however, must be done by connecting with another player online.
Lastly, the simplest option is to use an amiibo card to bring your desired villager to your island. TheAnimal CrossingSeries 5 amiibo cardswill have 48 new cards, including the 16 new villagers. The cards will drop on the same day as the 2.0 update and theHappy Home ParadiseDLC - November 5th.
