There have been a lot of rumors about Foggy Nelson and Karen Page meeting their untimely demise inDaredevil: Born Again. Fans were quite excited to see Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson return to reprise their roles in the show with Charlie Cox.

Daredevil: Born Againshowrunner, Dario Scardapane has given audiences a very ballsy answer when asked about the nature of the rumors, and if any of them are actually true. Given how interested fans are in the show thanks to the original cast returning, killing them off, if that is the case, might not be in their best interest.
Dario Scardapane has confirmed that rumors are true, but also not true
Speaking withSFX Magazine, Dario Scardapane had some very bold things to say about the widespread rumors of Elden Henson’s Foggy orDeborah Ann Woll‘s Karen dying. These rumors stem from the fact that Foggy and Karen appear very little in the teaser and that Matt talks about a line being crossed which ends up causing him to give up going out as Daredevil. Scardapane said:
All those rumors are true. None of them are true. I refer people to the comic books where the fate of both those characters has happened many times in different ways

There are a few ways in which this can be read.Daredevil: Born Againmight see Karen, Foggy, or both, incapacitated for whatever reason, putting their life in the balance. However, there is one other thing that is a distinct possibility inDaredevil: Born Again, which might prove Scardapane’s comment is not a riddle, but a blatant spoiler.
Karen and Foggy could have been victims of Thanos
Karen and Foggy might have been turned to dust after they opened Nelson, Murdock, and Page with Matt. This could have caused Matt, out of guilt, to look after their homes and loved ones, which might not have left a lot of time for the vigilante side of things in his life.

Further, given the nature of The Blip as an apocalypse, sirens and emergency personnel running around might have caused Matt’s powers to become useless, given that he might have at least dealt with serious sensory overload during this time.
However, once things could have been restored,Matt, Foggy, and Karenmight have been swamped with cases about people who had been evicted, replaced, or facing any other kind of legal issue because of The Blip. This could have further hampered Matt’s ability to function as Daredevil.

The ‘line’ that Matt might have crossed could very well have been a huge ethical issue that would have made his workload easier as a lawyer and a vigilante, causing him to decide to quit being Daredevil so that he may help people, properly, in a way that matters.
Daredevil: Born Again, will begin streaming on August 15, 2025.
