Alan Wake 2is an incredibly good-looking game. Anyone who doubts this statement can just watch any clip of this game, and they will know. And there’s no surprise here either; developer Remedy Entertainment has made it their thing to bring some very good-looking games to their fans. This started withControl,a game that launched back in 2019.

This continued with their recent title,Alan Wake 2, a game that looks and plays incredibly well. As the name suggests, it is the continuation of a years-old game, unsurprisingly calledAlan Wake. While the sequel was much awaited and looked incredible, there were a lot of fans who could not play it due to its high PC spec requirements, but it appears the developers have decided to change that with their latest patch.

The newAlan Wake 2patch makes it easier for lower-end PCs to run the game

A while ago, Capcom revealed their new game engine, which they named RE Engine. This engine went on to power a number of games, such asResident Evil 7, Village, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2,andResident Evil 4 Remake. All these games look mind-blowing, especiallyVillageandResident Evil 4 Remake. Yet, their system requirements were within reach of most of the gamers out there.

Then cameAlan Wake 2, a mind-blowing game highly inspired byResident EvilRemakes in its gameplay. But its story was something else—one of the best examples of parallel storytelling in a video game. The only issue was that not many fans could play it, specifically among PC owners.

The reason is pretty simple: its system requirements are on the higher side. It’s not about playing a game with all the ray tracing and path tracing turned on, but about being able to play it without any hiccups. The minimum graphic card required to run this game was at first RTX 2060 and RX 6600.

Many people are still stuck on Nvidia’s 1000 series cards. And they deserve to play a good game too. Now, they would be able to play this game, as Remedy Entertainment has finally made this game run a bit better on older cards.

With their latest patch, they have improved the performance of Nvidia’s 1000 series of cards. This new patch is so effective that when run on graphic settings matching the quality mode of PS5 using a GTX 1060, this game’s performance has increased by at least 15-20 FPS. This is an incredible improvement.

Previously, there was a message that this game used to give when run on these older GPUs, which simply said, This GPU cannot runAlan Wake 2.But now this GPU seems to be runningAlan Wake 2without any issues. It looks like the time is now for all survival horror fans out there to pickAlan Wake 2up!

Alan Wake 3 Must Take This One Note from The Last of Us to Shut Down the Biggest Critics Despite Sequel’s Success

Maybe this new patch is Remedy’s strategy to expand the install base ofAlan Wake 2? If it is, it should work, given the fact that there are numerous people willing to play this game but who have stayed away due to its system requirements.
