With Alan awake—pun intended—he enters the pseudo-dream world of the Dark Place in order to remember bits and pieces of his missing memory. His very first stop in this mind-bending reality is the Caldera Subway Station.

Caldera Subway Station Location
When players first enter Alan’s dream, they will need to escape the talk show studio only to find themselves onOcean Avenue, near Caldera St. Plaza, the large courtyard with the fountains in the middle. The Caldera Subway Station isdirectly in front of the Plazain the shape of a typical New York Subway Station.
For players, the first order of business should befinding the mapof this location on one of the boards lining the street. Once you have the map unlocked, open it to find the Caldera Subway Station if you haven’t already.
How To Enter The Caldera Subway Station
When you get to the Station, Alan will comment that there is no entrance leading inside the station. You will have to use your newly unlocked Angel Lamp to light up the area in order to change the environment and open the way inside.
To find a light to bring back to the station:
Don’t forget to look for a new Word of Power just behind the street light.
When the street light above the Subway Station lights up, a staircase opens up directly beneath it, unlocking the way inside the Caldera Subway Station.

How To Find The Second Light Source
Go down the stairs inside the station, and you’ll notice that there is no way forward. Alan comments that you must bring another light source here to unlock this area.
Now, you have two light sources to work with.Use one light to uncover the entrance to the Caldera Subway Station and use the next one to illuminate its insideto uncover the next step in Alan Wake’s journey.
